THIS product works better than I thought. My mother used to tell me use this if you have a lot of congestion in your chest. I just didn't think it would work well because it's a tablet not a liquid. but finally had to use it because I didn't want to get bronchitis or pneumonia so it works really well and I totally recommend it.
Packing the box could have been a little better. I don't want my canned goods dented, that decreases their shelf life. Also smashes soft items in box.
It works tremendously to relieve mucus in your sinuses and lungs! There is no better over the counter medication to do this. I w use it frequently to relieve sinusitis symptoms and I just had the Flu which gave me the worst chest cold of my life.Without the mucinex I would not have been able to breathe!!
I was extremely wary about choosing a store brand version of this product, since others have failed in the past. I've always used Mucinex any time I've been sick and recovering from either a cold or just my seasonal allergies. I am beyond excited to see that this worked just as good, if not better, than the name brands! The best part is that it doesn't give me an upset stomach. Plus, it costs SOOOOO much less than what I'm used to paying. Definitely worth trying!!
It works and gets rid of all the mucus. I have purchased many times and will continue to do so. Works just as well as the brand named products, if not better.
The only spray that actually holds my big leftover 80s hair! It does build up, so be aware of that.
my lungs open more so i can get some air inside. box did come damaged. A box cutter slash.
These are great if you need a mucus thinner. That said, these ARE bigger than the 600 mg size wise. (And neither of them are coated - and they taste awful, so if you're going to have a hard time swallowing, go 600.) A mini marshmallow can be cut in half and a pill stuck in it to try to make it easier to swallow. (600 mg is on the left in photo, 1200 mg on right.)
Most resources say that the active ingredient guaifenesin causes kidney stones when taken in large doses for the purpose of misuse. After taking this medicine as directed, I developed kidney stones that were especially painful. I have a chronic kidney condition, so most people will likely not have this happen to them. However, speak with a doctor before buying this if you have kidney stones/issues or if you are concerned about the medicine in any other way.
I have been very ill with the flu and then Covid in rapid succession. I had a terrible chest cold and cough for which I purchased this medication. It did absolutely nothing but that's not why I don't feel like the medication on the label is really in the pill. My boyfriend gave me a name brand version of this. It worked great but gave me a gross side effect. When I looked it up, it's a side effect some people get from guaifenesin. The Walmart version did absolutely nothing. Since it didn't help and didn't give me the side effect, I wonder if the medication is really in there.
