I really like these vapor patches. I have been using them at night to help me breathe easier. They have a good strong scent of menthol that helps open up my nasal passages, and a nice scent of lavender that is soothing. The scent lasts all night and when I remove it, I can still smell the menthol. The patch is not real large, but packs a punch. Just peel off the clear plastic backing and place it on your clothing. I had it on my thermal pj,s. The closer on your chest to your nose the better it will be. Don't place directly on skin.
The patch is long-lasting. It should definitely only be stuck to clothing. I noticed when I stuck it to a t-shirt with vinyl lettering that the adhesive stuck to the letters. But I'm sure it'll come off in a couple more washings. The lavender scent was wonderful and relaxing. But if you're looking for the vapor menthol it's not as effective. It mostly smells like lavender. And a really nice natural lavender not a super fake smell.
We had these on hand just in case. My college aged daughter had been sick with cold congestion previously. I thought it would be nice to have these just in case. Well now my youngest daughter was congested this week and she didn't sound like she'd sleep well so she put one on her chest. They smelled really nice when opening but no over powering. I asked her how it worked in the morning and she said she had no problems breathing and slept well. They definitely did what I was hoping for.
Better than traditional VapoRub. I think the patches are a great alternative to continuing to reapply the Cream to your chest several times a night. The patch stays on easily And produces a good amount Of Mentholatum. I like the added lavender that's always supposed to be good for the senses.
Interesting product, 5 of these come individually wrapped in the box. Smells like lavender but has a menthol scent to it as well. Interesting that you attach them to the inside of your shirt. But awesome that it can help you throughout the day and not smell like it to others.
These patches aren't overpowering with menthol fragrance; I attached to pajama top near my shoulder. The lavender fragrance is also mild. Definitely not going to clear stuffy noses but just a soothing aroma. The patch adhered well; easily removed and didn't stain fabric.
I really found these Equate Lavender Vapor Patches to be of great use. My family and I were sick for several weeks and decided to try these patches and I'm really glad we did. We put them con our shirts close to our necks and the sent of the menthol and lavender wasn't too overwhelming. It was very soothing for all of our sinuses and gave an calming effect to help us relax. Even the kids found it helpful to use. They were easy to use and I love that they aren't medicated so they are safe to use for children and adults alike. I will definitely be buying more and I recommend them to anyone.
I really enjoy using these patches. The scent is nice and strong and I find it really soothing. It stays stuck on my shirt but didn't leave any reside on my clothes when I took it off. The vapors lasted a long time. I especially enjoyed using these at night. I highly recommend!
My 7yr old always gets a bit of a cough this time of year but doesn't like the menthol rub on his chest. These were not only approved by my 7yr old but requested again for bedtime. The vapors last all night without being too strong in the beginning. Beware of the adhesive though, it's strong and can damage some fabrics/designs. No sticky residue when on just fabric but lots left when put over a screen printed tee. We have done it on cotton, cotton/poly blend and fleece materials. I can't speak for more delicate fabrics but I wouldn't recommend the use on it.
The jury is still out overall on this item because it may work for some, but for other it may not or it may take longer than one may anticipate. After opening the package and applying it to my shirt on my chest the smell was not as strong as I had hoped, but it is noticeable and maybe designed that way for a reason because if it were much stronger I do believe it would irritate the eyes if it were stronger. I also have a slight warming/burning sensation below my shirt where it is stuck to the shirt on my skin, but that didn't last long and after about 15 minutes has subsided. I can smell both the lavender and menthol in the patch and again, this may work for some, but not others. There are 5 pads in the package and you can remove the pad to reposition it easily if you don't like where you put it the first time. Also after you remove the pad you do get a much stronger smell which is more to my liking and actually helped my sinus open up some once I removed the pad to reposition it a little lower on my chest. Overall I recommend it, but it may not be for everyone, especially someone that may have eye or skin sensitivities.
