[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a Diabetic and often get sugar spikes & drops from poor diet maintenance. I was able to try out Equate Nutritional Shake in chocolate via a Sampling Program with Perrigo Brand Samples. The shake has been a great healthy benefit. There's only 6 grams of sugar, 10 grams of protein, and only 190 calories. So when I am unable to get a meal in I will replace with a shake. It leaves me completely full & satisfied my hunger is curbed with no snacking in between meals. These shakes have been an aid in keeping my weight down, my sugar intake low and it's tasty too! Definitely give Equate Nutritional Shake a try, its very comparable to other leading brands and affordable. I highly recommend.
I drink it every day. It is easy to swallow, tasty, and nutritious. I buy it by the case. We are in lockdown so I order 2 cases so as not to run out.
My mom is a diabetic, but loves chocolate. She doesn't like to take vitamins. I asked her to please try they are good! She tried the chocolate and only loves the chocolate. She says it taste like chocolate milk, but not creamy. She takes it every morning!! It does take her a little time to open the bottles because the plastic is up over the lid. U ha e to take plastic off then twist open.
I am diabetic so I crave sweets because I'm not suppose to over indulge. It's difficult to satisfy that craving. This shake is so rich and chocolately that I thought I was having a milk shake. It was absolutely delicious!! To think that this shake is healthy and nutritious! I savored every drop. The danger would be that it tastes so good I want another one. This shake is delicious. It taste like a yummy rich chocolate milkshake. I am not diabetic but my parents are so I try to avoid sugary drinks and I have read that even if you are not diabetic these shakes are good for you to avoid high sugary products. I love this nutritional shake, it has everything I look for in a shake - protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. It has 100% vitamin C and 80% vitamin D - awesome because I don't get enough of either. I used this drink as a meal replacement and it really did keep my full for hours, it did the job. I will be buying and drinking again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I'm a dibetic and these cut and/or slow down my sugar craving. The Walmart brand is a less expensive price over the brand name but taste just a good. Cholate is the best.
I am elderly with diabetes 2. This drink is absolute treat. Love the chocolate. There is just so much that I can no longer have and when it starts to wear me done as in "poor me, I am so deprived", I reach for my Equate Shake. Tastes delicious, packs a lot of good stuff with low carbs and high protein.....and that much beloved chocolate flavor. It's all good and I highly recommend.
I love this Equate version of Glucerna. The only thing I don't like about it is that the label says “Easy Open”, and it's NOT! The perforation is almost nonexistent. With my poor arthritic hands, I have to use a knife to open it every time. Other than that, I am very satisfied with this.
The taste of the drink is ok. Not horrible.It could be better but they would probably have to add more sugar to make it taste better. For only having 4 grams of sugar it's decent. I've gotten to like the taste better after I got used to it. I use the chocolate flavor. The thing that's bad is trying to peel the labels off the bottles to recycle it. It is definitely NOT "easy open" as it says on the bottle. It used to peel off easier but it seems they changed the label to a different kind and the current label is very hard to get started peeling. I have to use a knife to get it started and even then it's not easy to remove. Four stars for the drink itself but one star for the hard to peel label. Also, I'm having trouble finding it in my local area which is in Delaware County, PA just out side of Philadelphia. I had previously ordered it online and had it delivered with free shipping but now you can't get it shipped at all or even reserve it for holding in the stores. The only way to get is to actually go to the store and hope they still have it when you get there even if says it's there on the web site. None of my local stores have it now. Why can't I get it locally or order it online anymore for pick up or delivery? I'm getting low on it and if I can't find it anywhere then I'll have to switch over to the Boost brand diabetic shakes which are more expensive. It seems like none of the stores is restocking it. Why? Please advise what the situation is with this product. Thanks!
I received this in exchange for my honest opinions. Being diabetic isn't a lot of fun when it comes to snacks or eating. I need to be aware of everything I consume to keep from going into a sugar rush or sugar crash. And trust me when I say, neither of those are fun. I was given the opportunity to try the Equate - Equate Delicious Diabetic Chocolate Nutritional Shake and I was not disappointed with it. The 8 ounce size is perfect for a snack and it's easy to carry with you. The chocolate is rich in flavor! You also get the added bonus of dietary fibers. It's a WIN all around.
