Same as the brand name!

Compared these vitamins to a brand named vitamin and they are exactly the same for a fraction of the cost. Softgels make them easier to swallow which is important when you have morning sickness. Plenty of folic acid which is so very important during the first trimester. Love the fact that I'm getting what I need but not spending a lot for it!!

Great multivitamin for women pregnant or not

I take a multivitamin daily and I really like these Equate One Daily Prenatal Dietary Supplements. Firstly, o trust the brand as I buy a lot of Equate products and know that just because it is a store brand it doesn't mean it is less quality. This came with 60 pills, 1 a day. They are soft pills but rather largeness but I do find these a lot easier to swallow than others. They do not have a strong medicine taste at all. Plus the benefits and nutrients are just what I need. They have a broad list of vitamins and nutrients listed and good daily values, including Ahgal DHA which is great and is found in other prenatal and nursing or infant formulas and essential for fetal brain and eye development. It also is a good source of iron and folic acid. It also includes all the vitamins ranging from A, Bs, C, D, E and calcium as well as many other important nutrients. It is a larger pill but I find that if I tale it will a couple big gulps of water or juice or coffee, I can get it down easily. I always take it when I give my girls their vitamins. I am not pregnant but just finished nursing but find the prenatal vitamins better for me at this time. Don't let the store brand fool you, this is a better value than most and it really is a good product. I definitely recommend for pregnant or nursing moms as well as those who might become pregnant or just a want a better multivitamin. I did get to try this for free through the Spark review program but the opinions here are based on my own experience.

Easy to swallow!

The Equate One Daily Prenatal Softgels are just as good, if not even better than the popular name brands! The capsules are a good size, but easy to swallow. I don't feel nauseous after taking them which is a huge plus! They have DHA in them so you don't have to take another pill for DHA. I highly recommend this product.

Good Quality Vitamins, No Aftertaste

Reviewed in the USA on 2018-11-22T16:00:00

My doctor advised me to take prenatal vitamins, but to limit my intake of fish oil, because mercury has been found in some supplements. I received these vitamins from Spark Review, and am very happy with them for several reasons. The DHA comes from algal sources, not fish oil. So there's no worries about mercury. And, there's no fishy aftertaste that I used to experience from taking fish oil supplements. These vitamins contain carbonyl iron, which is easier for the body to digest. They are in liquid form, so the body can absorb them more quickly. I don't like that they contain food coloring. I can't see any reason for this, other than to make the pills look attractive. These vitamins cost more than regular prenatals, but they are so worth the extra money.

Love the softgels!

These are so easy to swallow! I'm not pregnant but I am breastfeeding my 13 month old so I'm still taking prenatals. I used the prescription from my doctor until it ran out and started buying them myself. It's important for me to get enough vitamins while nursing so I will continue these until I wean. I had been using another brand that was in tablet form but they had a bad after taste and were a little hard to swallow. These have no taste (that I've noticed) and the softgel form is so easy to get down. They have all the prenatal vitamins and minerals plus DHA. The DHA is fish free if you don't or can't eat fish. The large bottle is a 60 day supply which is handy so you don't have to run to the store often. I love equate products and I am very happy with these! Will definitely be buying more in the future! Save your money and get the equate version!

Great even if your not pregnant & need extra iron

I really like these particular prenatal vitamin. I tend to run anemic so the extra iron is great instead of taking a multi vitamin plus a iron supplement. I have been taking them for years. My drs have said the extra folic acid would not hurt me at all. I like the fact that these have the fish oil supplement also. So I was able to cut back on taking fish oil supplements. On the picture I put a vitamin by the lid so you can see the size . Large pills do not bother me but I know some people it does. This is one I will continue to look for to keep taking once this bottle runs out.

Great vitamin, large size

I am writing this review on behalf of my wife who is currently taking these vitamins (1 a day, 60 in the bottle). She is not pregnant but says these vitamins are still the best for women to take daily. These pills are very large but are slippery and not that hard to swallow. My daughter was going to take them, but cannot get them down. They contain all of the vitamins from A to Z and Omega 3s, DHA, and folic acid. If you research, you will see that DHA is great for healthy brain and eye development in babies and is found in many baby formulas (for the pregnant readers of this review). She has taken several other brands of these vitamins and says that overall these are better for several reasons. They do not have a fishy taste or smell, do not have a strong “medicine” like taste, do not have a strong aftertaste, and have not caused any side effects or digestive issues like some others do. We have used many other Equate brand products with good results and this one does not disappoint. They make high quality products for a very good price and this one is a bargain.

Not great if you have morning sickness

Reviewed in the USA on 2018-11-18T16:00:00

The equate one daily prenatal with fish free alga DHA has everything you need for a pre natal vitamin as far as “ingredients”. The DHA is what I'm most happy about because it contributes to healthy brain formation, and still has other multivitamin supplementing ingredients. I am not currently pregnant but it is recommended to begin taking these 6 weeks before starting to try for a baby because of the folic acid to reduce risk of neural tube defects. I will say I don't think I could get this down if I was nauseous from pregnancy. The pill is huge. I just took one 10 minutes ago and can still feel it trying to make its way down the lower end of my esophagus. It is smooth which is nicer than a different popular brand I have used! I would stick to taking this in preparation for pregnancy then switching to a gummy once you get nauseous (if you get nauseous at all) then when you're in your second trimester if you're past the sickness, switch back. It really has everything you need but just GINORMOUS. I would recommend these if you have no problem with large pills, but I can't see myself telling my friends to get these if they are pregnant and nauseous. HOWEVER. I will say they don't make me nauseous when I'm not pregnant!!
