My mother is 96 years young. She drinks 3 a day. Since she eats little, I feel this has helped her. If you put in freezer for about an hour, it is like a milkshake!! Any flavor is good. She prefers Equate to brand name. The PLUS works too.
These are surprisingly delicious. I was looking for an affordable nutrional shake to take while pregnant. Im a vegetarian and wanted to up my protein intake. I have one of these every morning. Ive tried both vanilla and strawberry. Both are delicious.
Price is good. Quality is good. Good supplement for an older person.
Excellent product. My husband loves it and has been drinking it for a long time. Great price, great delivery.
Excellent taste. This must be nutritious as it picked me up out of a slump brought on by severe and prolonged heat. While more economical than other brands, it has a high protein content. Works for me.
To evaluate the Equate High Protein Nutritional Shakes, Vanilla, 8 fl oz, with 15gram protein, I will compare it to the Equate Plus Nutritional Shake, Vanilla, 8 fl oz, which has 13 grams of protein. I have been using the Equate Plus Nutritional Shake in both vanilla and strawberry for many years. There have been various changes in the flavor, sometimes not good changes. But after people complain Walmart eventually fixes the problem. I recently bought the 16 count Equate High Protein Nutritional Shakes, Vanilla, and tried one. I found it to be thin and watery and did not like the taste and returned the remaning 15 bottles. The Equate Plus is richer and tastes much better. Also, the Equate High Protein Nutritional Shakes come loose, not bound together, but are simply stuffed loosely into a box, and are taller and oddly shaped. The Equate Plus bottles are bound together as a six pack. The extra 2 grams of protein in the Equate High Protein Nutritional Shakes, are not worth the bother.
I've had the chocalate nutritional drink and wanted to try the vanilla, The vanilla flavor tasted off. Thinking I wasn't used to it I drank the rest of the first bottle. Within about 12-18 hours I had diarrhea that lasted two days. I threw away the remaining 15 bottles.
these taste awful... I have used the regular equate nutritional shakes and they're pretty tasty these high protein ones literally cause me to gag they're awful don't waste your money
I've been supplementing my "complicated" dietary situation with various nutritional shakes for quite some time. I've tried just about everything available out there: national and store brands, regular and plus formulations, nearly every flavor. While I'm partial to the vanilla and strawberry flavors, most chocolate ones are good too. I actually prefer Equate Nutrition Plus (vanilla and strawberry) to most other options available. I tried it for the price difference, I continue buying it for the quality, taste, and satisfactory results (from a nutrition standpoint). Given this track record, I decided to give the High Protein Vanilla a shot- at the moment there's a couple of us in need of more nutritional support than normal. I'm now kicking myself for buying a case instead of six-pack, this stuff is foul! I was expecting that there would be a more "vitamin-y" taste, and that it might be sweeter and have a more intense vanilla flavor to help mask any flavor difference. What I got was a bitter chemical taste in a seemingly "fat-free, no sugar added" base. My best comparisons are medicine crushed/mixed into applesauce, an uncoated pill caught in the throat, or accidentally getting soap/cleaner in one's mouth and then trying to drink something to help wash out the taste. (I sent one with my husband in his lunch; he took one drink, tossed the rest into the trash and then sent me a text message reminding me that the new life insurance policy isn't in effect yet! Funny, funny man...) I can safely say that I won't be trying the high protein option in any other brand/flavor- my fear is that there's nothing wrong with the case I purchased and that they all taste this unpleasant!
