I don't use ProActiv. I don't have acne. Most people probably assume that this product is to be used only with the 3-step system (since it is listed as step 2) and is only for skin with acne. Fact is, this is a fantastic product on its own. It's a 6% glycolic acid, alcohol free toner with antioxidants such as witch hazel. Glycolic acid is a chemical exfoliant derived from fruit acids and is wonderful for all skin types. It slowly resurfaces by removing dead skin cells to reveal new, radiant skin. It doesn't burn like toners with alcohol and never leaves skin feeling stripped. I hope that this never goes away because it costs 1/5 of the price of the ProActiv brand toner.
