I am reviewing the EVE room indoor air quality monitor. Very easy to set up. Included with monitor is a micro usb charger cable. I plugged into my iPhone charger. It took an hour to charge. A full charge will last 6 weeks. The device is small and would go with any decor. Light weight and can be displayed in any room. I have it in my Living room. I downloaded the Eve room app. Open the app and tap add accessory. It will now guide through the setup process. It works well with Apple HomeKit. I like that after setup you will be able to view the quality of air, the temperature and humidity of your room. This is the second day I've had it. It can review past conditions by day, month and year. It has a direct connection without any bridge being required. I like that I can access the readings through the Eve Room app, the Home app and by using Siri. 100 recent privacy including no Eve cloud, registration or profiling. I really like that I can check anytime the quality of air in my home. I recommend for ease of setup and being able to check the air in my home with a touch of the app. Or by looking at the Eve Monitor. Requirements IPhone, IPad with iOS 13.1 or later.
This sensor is pretty straight forward, you just plug it in to charge and place it in a room in your house. I'm currently using mine in the living room. I downloaded the Eve app then scan the barcode on the device. It tells the temperature, humidity and air quality in the room. The battery lasts for several weeks before it needs to be charged again. The only con for me is that it doesn't have any back light. I can't see it when the room is dark.
I already have a humidity and temperature sensor but this Eve Room indoor air quality monitor is totally next level. Not only it measures the room temperature and humidity level, but it also measures the room air quality. When it's too bad you need to open the windows or turn on a ceiling fan. You can change different screen layout to accentuate temp, humidity or air quality numbers. Another cool thing is that the app you download keeps track of everything. It shows if and when the air quality, temp and humidity level change so you keep track of it. It has a built-in rechargeable battery so you don't have to keep buying new batteries. The cord is compatible with other electronics in my house which is cool. The down side is that it is only compatible with Apple products, so if you have Android or other brands electronics it will not work with them. Overall it is a pretty cool gadget.
Our household is full of allergy sufferers, so having a device that can help us monitor the amount of humidity in our home is crucial. The Eve Room Indoor Air Quality, Temperature, and Humidity Sensor is simply amazing. It helps us determine the air quality of home while monitoring the temperature and humidity. It's small and doesn't take up space. It comes with a rechargeable internal battery with usb charging cable. Helps to keep our air inside our home healthier and safer for us all. Easy to read and follow instructions.
My daughter and I suffer from allergies so I was very interested in trying this product. We have expensive air purifiers throughout our home and I change the main HVAC filter every 3 or so months. Being able to get a read on air quality and humidity is incredibly helpful to our health. I did not get it to automate other products so I can't speak to that aspect. But for the monitoring and ease of use it seems like a pretty cool items use in conjunction with your home with other air purification devices.
I received my Eve Room Indoor Air Quality, Temperature, and Humidity Sensor in the color of Black. This unit is also available in white. The unit is super small and compact. It has a rechargeable battery so you can move it from room to room. There is a micro USB port for charging. The battery will last about 6 plus weeks on a charge so it uses very little power. This is a Bluetooth connected device and works with IOS (Apple) devices only. You can view the indoor temperature, the humidity, and the air quality. You can view these measurements when you are away from home using the app. Or.. you could always take the device when you travel since it is small and light weight. This device is great for me to quickly check indoor temps and air quality. I like how the weather change makes difference in the readout! There is an app to use with the device which is pretty handy. This is a must have for those who suffer from breathing issues or have small babies. I do wish there was a back light on the device and it also wish it was a little bigger. All of the sensors work great and a fast. It just need a back light and should be a little bigger.
None of the paperwork that comes with the sensor shows exactly what it is measuring when measuring air quality. Just over the course of 24 hours there are wild jumps in numbers, from previously stable numbers to super low to super high, back to the previously stable numbers. I do not know what I should attribute these spikes to. There is nothing changing that I can see. I put the sensor in my little girls' room. There is a grating in the ceiling from where the air conditioner blows and they have two windows, one of which I open sometimes during the day to let in fresh air. There is a temporary difference in the air quality measurements when I open the window, usually with the numbers getting worse. So, I would be extremely interested to know what exactly the sensor is measuring in the air and how accurate it is. The sensor also measures temperature and humidity. Those seem to be accurate. When I first grabbed the sensor out of the box, the instructions said to charge it for at least two hours before trying to get accurate measurements. So, after a few hours of charging it still showed 70%, then went down to 50 and then 60. It wasn't until later that I realized that that was the humidity measurement I was looking at on the screen and not how full the battery was. Woops. So, once I figured out what the numbers mean on the sensor, things went more smoothly. When charging the battery, though, I don't know how to tell how far along the battery charging is. I downloaded the app and set it up. It wasn't completely explanatory, but I was able to muddle through it. The sensor records measurements every ten minutes, which is nice. We live in an old house, so I was interested in what the air quality is in here. But, I would never pay $100 for this. It reminds me of the quality of a product someone would give away in a swag or goodie bag at a 5K walk/run.
