i love this gate! it's the most efficient gate that i've used, compared to the other ones. i like it's versitility and ease, and i use it all over. i highly recommend this gate!
I love this gate. We are currently using this for the front porch. It is very easy to open and close for my other children and keeps the baby safe on the porch.
This is an excellent product to keep pets away from a certain room. The telescoping plastic top rail is a great safety feature in preventing fingers from being pinched when collapsing gate. The other things I liked are the easy installation, being able to open gate from either side, making removal of entire gate for storage a snap. One last thing is the ability of the gate to swing 180 degrees from right to left, or, left to right.
I bought this gate a while back, and it has been wonderful. My daughter is almost 2 and she has never even tried to climb this. I guess if you have a climber than I would probably look into a different one, but its been wonderful for us and also it works great for my pets too!
I bought this gate because I needed something to fit in my 24" doorway. This was the only gate I found that will do that. The precious rater complained about her child climbing the gate, and as looking at my gate, it's so narrow right now instead of being spread out wide, that my son can't climb it right now even if he wanted to. I also like the part where this gate is taller than other cheap gates. I don't have to worry about my son climbing over it, even when he grabs his little chair and stands on it by the gate. The one thing I don't like about the gate is opening it and closing it is a pain in the rear! It's so tall, it's also difficult to climb over it.
Once your little one starts climbing, it is no longer safe. My little girl is 10mos old. I have to get a different gate because she tries to climb it gate. FYI, I called Evenflow and said it was not good for blocking stairways and babies ~8-24mos.
