I really don't like to exercise but I thought boxing might be fun. I ordered this bag with gloves and the Everlast Boxing Novice Workout. I LOVE BOXING!!! The bag was easy to put together, I was using it the same night I bought it. I would recommend you fill it with sand instead of water though for more stability. It's sturdy enough to take punches and kicks and together with the video, it's a great workout.
I am a MMA fighter with a taekwondo background. This bag is very durable to handle tough kicks. It assemble very easy, and works really well in my home gym. I highly recommend this heavy bag for the price and quality it can not be beat.
This bag is much like the ones used in my kick boxing class - perhaps even better. I have used it frequently since I picked it up and I like it better each time I use it. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a free-standing heavy bag for either boxing or kick boxing.
I weigh 130 lbs. and filled with water I am able to move the bag when I punch at it. The directions are a little confusing as to which way to apply the washers. Seems like this is a good bag. However, does not come with the punching gloves.
this is a great product if you do not have the space to hang a real heavy bag, this is good for your hand techniques, you need a real heavy weight in the bottom to use for kicking!! I love it, I am almost ready for the fight club!!
quite high off the ground, so good for punching, hard to kick unless you are over 5 feet tall...so a challenge for my 8 year old. very sturdy, I've been hitting it with roundhouse kicks and it barely moves. Good price, good product - so far...assembly wasn't so bad.
I really liked the size of this bag as I have only a limited amount of space in order to have a heavy bag, but found that filling it with water was a mistake. Not only did the water not keep the bag down on the floor, it also caused the underbolts on the unit to rust out and one good upper cut snapped the bolts. Going to return it and try it again with sand this time and see if that doesn't do a lot better.
Although the bag is fairly well made, the instructions for assemble are incomplete. The holes that are in the product (for assembly purposes) are misaligned. There is no possible way for any person of average strength to be able to assemble this product (even if everything was aligned as it should be). The bolts need to be at least 1/4 inch longer for easier assembly. Somebody needs to seriously rethink the design and assembly instructions of this product.
The only thing that i have a problem with is that it is too light after the base is filled. I have to put it against the wall so it doesn't move around. It would definitley be better if you can a denser material than water to fill the base with, oh and if you do use water make sure that you throw some bleach in there so that it doesn't get any bacteria grow inside.
I was deeply disappointed in this product. I bought it for my 9 yr old son for christmas. by the second day the bag was ripping at the seams and the platic peice at the bottom was cracking. This is suppose to withstand adult use but it cant even hold up with a 9 yr old punching it. I don't recommend this product. I took it back and bought sparing pads and gloves
