padded VERY well thumb loop = not breaking thumb without wraps ufc now uses century gloves and the cheap ones are garbage the 80$ are good but for under 50$ these are the best you can get the size is small / m and fits anyone i have tiny hands and they close tight enough to make it feel like a rock
Dont go by the looks when u first see them. I thought they would break down or tear but no way these little gloves r soldiers. I saw them at the store 2 or 3 times but I didnt think they where going to hold up even though Im a big Everlast fan. I went to all the major store in my area and Im telling you that this is the best deal out there. I have been beating my 100lb heavy bag everyday for a month and they are in perfect shape. The more you use them the better. They mold well to your hands and they feel great with or without boxing wraps. Sweet deal.
Do not buy those 45 dollar UFC or TAPOUT brand gloves. Too expensive, and in my opinion uncomfortable. Everlast has been around since fighting became commercial and at no matter what price, you can always be reassured they deliver an awesome product. I beat the heck out of these gloves and they still haven't ripped at all. Great quality, Great price, and a great purchase.
After searching everywhere for mixed martial arts gloves that were not insanely priced Wal Mart was recommended. I saw the Everlast gloves and purchased them for their value. I thought they would be a temporary fix. What a great surprise. I have used them and they are wonderful for sparring. Being able to do open hand techniques gives you the ability to grab, pull and always ready to strike. Best for the price. No doubt. They take a beating.
These are excellent quality MMA gloves! This style glove usually cost around $40-$50!! These gloves are a great fit and sturdy, strong gloves with real 4oz padding. a great deal.
I bought these gloves using Wal-Mart's Site-to-Store delivery method and I have been nothing but impressed. Most MMA gloves these days are going to run about $30 minimum, and a lot of them are of questionable quality or design. These Everlast gloves are built strong and are a great value from this site at just under $18. I use them 3-4 times a week for heavy bag and grappling work. They are very well constructed and take a beating. Although you don't get to choose a size here, mine arrived in size L\XL and fit nicely (although I have fairly skinny fingers, and they did have a snug fit - keep that in mind). I have put these things through some brutal abuse, and they take it. A nice glove for a very fair price, in a very expensive MMA world. Plus when using Site-to-store you don't have to wait in line...how great is that!
Manufacturing and materials are adequate but not fantastic. Gloves fit well over handwraps and the velcro wriststraps are long enough to add some support. The sizing (L/XL) seems to be pretty much one-size-fits-all; they fit both me (size 8 glove) and my boyfriend (size 10 glove) equally well. Since we're new to MMA (and consequently need two of everything), we didn't want to buy the most expensive gear. These gloves serve well for practicing on the bag as well as sparring. I can't speak to their long-term durability, but so far we're happy with them.
Owned it for a couple of weeks now. Using them for heavy-bag punching. Seems durable, should last awhile. I got the L/XL size (I couldn't pick a size myself, so that was what they sent by default). I have really slim fingers, but the gloves seem to fit quite well. I'm not sure how they would fit if you have large/thick fingers.
The price for these training gloves is good for the quality. The gloves hold up for light to heavy training, but they won't last forever. I highly recommend this product for begining MMA fighters that are budgetly challenged.
These gloves are $10 to $20 more at most other stores. They are a great intermediate set of gloves. I am extremely happy with them. My only comment is that if you have large hands, the fingers will be tight. I have medium-large hands, and the finger holes are just big enough to be comfortable.
