I really like this Multi-Meter; it has allot of features, and is very accurate. I'm an electrical engineer and hobbyist and now use this meter for most measurements and electrical projects. It's complete, you don't have to buy anything extra. It will indicate the presence of electricity without any hookup, and even measures temperature with the included probe (accurately). I've used it to measure resistance and voltages when building an electronics project, and it worked flawlessly. The digital meter is easy to read too. Built to last, I highly recommend this product. Every home & car should have one!
This multimeter will do so many things! From checking voltage in a plug to tracing electrical wire in a wall. It will also do temperature but we have not tried that yet. Anyone looking for one I would recommend this meter. It has a handy pouch to store all the pieces.
my husband finds this multimeter to be easy to read and convenient to use. the test leads on it are nice and long making it easier to use in a variety of situation.
This is probably the best electrical checker I've had. Had hand me down checkers in the past. This one can test a electrical current with no contact to the wires. Can test car batteries which I did starting out with it. I get into situations where checkers come in handy which this one really will be handy in the near future. The packaging it comes in is really good. The checker itself can stand on its own which is handy. And comes with a carry bag, looks like the bag is a little water resistant which is good.
I used it to check and outlet and a does work Then I check and outlet it works great this is a very nice unit would highly recommend I put it through its paces and it is really nice
In the 20 buck range your not going to get better than this multi-meter. It does everything its supposed to do plus a few extras like temperature testing and proximity voltage which is handy to have. Also has a built in flashlight which is pretty dim but I guess when your trying to figure out why your furnace crapped out at 3am then a dim flashlight is better than no flashligiht. Also has a built in kickstand which is nice for workbench testing and the storage bag is nothing special but better than not having one at all. I own at least 5 multi-meters of varying costs and this one is just as accurate as all my others except the freebie harbor freight junk one that is almost never accurate. Only features I would like to have that it doesn't have is an amp clamp and magnetic back . All in all cant be beat for the price.
I had a multimeter for several years for DIY work and it finally was laid to rest. This new unit is very nice, offers more features than most I've seen. You can do non-contact testing, temperature testing, and even has a work light. That, all on top of the normal, wide range of AC/DC voltage and current testing. Comes with connector wire sets and even a nice storage/carry bag.
This device is so cool and made well. My friend that is an electrician was very impressed with this tester. Once he showed me how to use it, I was testing like a pro. It turned out to be pretty easy to use also. I had a whole bunch of batteries in my draw that I didn't realize were dead and just taking up space. You can test car battery, outlets, power cords and a lot more. It even has a flashlight and a case. It can look intimidating at first with the buttons and wires, but a piece of cake to learn and use. I highly recommend this digital multi meter.
EverStart Professional CAT III 300V Digital Multi-Meter is being reviewed by my electrician husband. The best feature of the multi-meter is the non contact voltage detector, Very sensitive detecting voltage and accurate. Work light (flash light) is not very good for dark spaces but the meter being backlit is good. Temperature probe is accurate and responded very quickly to temperature changes. Unit comes with a carrying case, instruction manual.. and BATTERIES !!!! Easy to use.
If it came with better working batteries it might have received another star or two. Also, manual wasn't very useful, as it did not show how to use the meter. It seems like it's built well, and comes with a carrying case.
