This is PERFECT! Just what I needed to protect my staircase while allowing me to keep my princess safe. Easy to install and works like a charm!
Works great! Was it worth it for the price? Maybe. Compared to other products out there that are similar I guess it was. And it seemed sturdier than the original EZ-Fit Safety Gate Adaptor, so we opted for this one since it's for the gate at the top of our stairs. I haven't actually compared the two, but from what I saw online the original was just velcro straps, this one has the velcro straps with additional pieced to secure the straps. If that makes sense:) But it is working great for us, seems very secure and quite tall, ensuring my active 3 year old and 1 year old can't climb over it.
The fastening screws on the gate I selected extend over 1 inch beyond the gate mount and would extend completely through the Adapter and damage the stair post. Therefore I had to add another wood block behind the Adapter. I have been unable to keep the Adapter from sliding sideways. If I can't find a solution to the sliding I will have to scrap the Adapter. The instructions for mounting the Adapter are printed on the outside of the shipping box and are unreadable because 3 labels were put over them by the shipping organizations. There are no installation instructions for the Adapter II on the supplier's webpage.
