This microwave has all the levels of power needed to cook anything. With explicit instructions on how to access all functions easily. It's much quieter than my previous microwave. I couldn't be happier with this make and model. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good quality microwave that is space efficient and with a reasonable price.
I received this microwave oven about a week ago now, and have used it each and every day. IT IS WONDERFUL! It comes with an entire booklet with directions that are very easy to understand and there is nothing to setting it up, just take it out of the box, put it where you want it, and plug it in. That easy! It is very heavy, so do not expect to handle it easily. I had my hubby help me, as it was a chore getting out of the box, but once up, just a breeze to get it running. The clock was easy to set and the numbers are big and easy to read. The entire keyboard is very easy to read because all the letters and numbers are big, so no more squinting. The one item I really like about this microwave is that it has an "Express Cook" for 1 - 2 - and 3. So no more just pressing 1 over and over again to heat something for express, it has 3 settings. The "Smart Sensor Cook" for the popcorn, and frozen pizza are terrific and when you use them, the popcorn comes out perfect and the frozen pizza also. No more guessing, this microwave is "right on exact", and that is what makes it so GREAT! When you use the defrost setting, you have two settings, one for weight defrost, and one for time defrost, so no more guessing. Just pick the setting you wish to use, press and go. It gets the job done. I really love this microwave oven especially with my old age setting in now, it is nice to have something that is easy to use and easy to see. I will gladly recommend this microwave to my family and friends.

This 1100 watt oven works and heats better than my previous 1200 watt oven! Nice large size but not a behemoth on the counter top. I love it.
\ We are impressed with this Farberware Microwave Oven. The noise level is the first thing we noticed. It seem quieter than the other brand we replaced. I don't know what it is but the inside lighting is very fashionable also easy to clean. The stainless steel front and the gray top and sides match our fridge perfectly even though it's not the same brand. We like the features especially the express cooking and the sensor reheat function. The sensor reheat function seems more accurate in heating vegetables and reheating leftovers. It has 1100 watts of cooking power we notice it gets thing done fastest then you might expect. The inside is 1.6 cubic feet, 9 one touch cooking programs also an interesting feature A Kid Lock Mode. That would be helpful if you have curious toddlers. The instruction booklet is a little confusing for instance it mentions select the Start and the 30 seconds button. I thought it was two separate buttons until I realized it the same one. I didn't notice the small type for 30 seconds on the Start Button. As far as the warranty it shows a 2 year warranty on the box but in the booklet 1 year.
I ordered this FARBERWARE 1.6 cu ft 1100-watt countertop microwave oven. There is a lot about this Farberware oven that I like. I just wish I had ordered a smaller oven but did not understand 1.6 cu ft was in actual size. So, that being said, if you are looking for a LARGE CAPACITY MICROWAVE, this is for you. The Farberware microwave does fit fine on my microwave cart . The depth is 15.5 " inside the micro The width is 22" The inside is a gray metal and has a LIGHT ! There are bright blue clock numbers that we use as a night light. The microwave also has a large glass turntable that fits in the large oven. One of my loves is the automatic time buttons. They are the # 1, 2, 3 No need to press in 60 seconds or more. There is also a defrost button, just press in your own time. Also Love the REHEAT SENSOR. Want to cancel the function, just press the stop/cancel button I haven't used it yet but, it does have a cooking timer. With the holidays coming I am sure the timer will get some use. I do find 5 beeps is a bit much because unlike a stove oven the microwave stops where a stove keeps cooking so don't need a 5 beep warning. My older and smaller microwave had a push button to open. My new Farberware has a large stainless handle. I guess I should cover noise level. I would say it is about average. Let's face it microwaves make some kind of noise but usually in a minute or two the cooking is done. I have recommended this micro to a friend. That is how much I like it. It does come in smaller sizes too.
I like this microwave in stainless steel. It does get "fingerprinted", but I like the black/stainless color scheme and the modern design. With 1100 watts, this oven has consistently done all its chores a LOT quicker than the smaller ovens that I've always had before. Our biggest use is in reheating food, popping popcorn, and thawing heavy meat items...it performs in about a third of the time I am accustomed to. However, so far I haven't had anything burn. This is a voluminous oven! Over the holidays I cooked a 13-lb. turkey and a 15-lb. ham, both of them thawed in this microwave before I put them into a regular oven. I was particularly pleased with the way it defrosted with NO hot-spots and left me with an even temperature (very cold) to begin prep work with. It helps remove excess moisture without drying the meat. There are ten different power settings, so this is the kind of microwave a person can really cook with. There are plenty of automatic settings, and the always-appreciated "express" buttons, so using the keypad is pretty much standard, and is an easy-to-clean heavy plastic. It can be locked against kid fingers. There is a sensor cook feature that depends on steam coming from the food, so it kind of helps you remember to stir or move the food around, then tells you when it is time to do it again or eat it. Helpful for kitchen newbies and distracted cooks. My only complaint is that the keypad is difficult to read in dim light conditions, and does not have any glow in itself. There is a clock display that is on as long as the oven is plugged in. That clock seems to glow a bit too brightly, and these are not settings that I can find instructions for in the booklet that came with the oven. The Farberware website is sparse on information of any kind, only referring a very general phone number for appliances, and I didn't care to get into phone limbo. The inside is coated with a grey nonstick enamel-like surface, so beware of overheating the inside if you have pets...otherwise it just wipes clean and the glass platter goes into the dishwasher. This is a nice oven that should last for many years.
The FMO16AHTPLB is one of the largest at 1.6 cubic feet in Farberware's line of countertop models. Impressive in stainless steel with a serious array of Sensors, Express Cook and the accompanying Power Level and Cook Time buttons. Great if you're cooking for a crowd, but you will need to do your "homework" before you do anything else. There is a lot to take in and remember when attempting the more complicated cooking methods or even using the Memory button. Two Simple Tests: Test #1 - I carried out my own Sensor "baked" Potato test with acceptable results. The potato was slightly overdone, but this could have been due to its size. Test #2 - Boiling water for my cup of tea. This took a little longer (1:45 minutes for 8 ounces) rather than the usual 1 minute even at 100% power. Not a real concern. There is Express Cook if I want to do this again. As For The Rest: Recipes would have been nice! Now, it will be a matter of practice, learning the various steps to use and separating out and understanding all the different instructions. Not difficult, but definitely time consuming. At this point, I'm still studying the manual!!
It makes a really loud noise when you run it and the control panel does not light up when you activate it. Its difficult to see the choices on the control panel.
