We received this set for our wedding shower in November 2010 and still use them daily. We wash them in the dishwasher and they are holding up great. Nothing is chipping off and there is no rust. I love them and would recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable set!
I love these pans . I have bought a lot of pans in my time but these are by far the best product I have ever purchased. I want to get my daughter a set for her.
I AM A CHEF THAT HAS BEEN COOKING FOR A LITTLE BIT SINCE I WAS 19 Yrs Old, THAT IS 49 YEARS, I HAVE VERY EXPENSIVE POTS AND PANS BUT I NEEDED WHAT I WOULD CALL A CHEAP SET, HOW WRONG WAS I, THIS SET IS ONE OF THE BEST PERFORMERS AND EVEN HEATER COOKERS I HAVE. OF COURSE YOU CAN NOT HIT THE EDGE WITH YOUR SPOON BEACUSE YOU DAMAGE THE COATING, AND PLEASE, WHO WANTS TO COOK HERE WITH A METAL SPOON, THAT IS WHY THEY MAKE THEM OUT OF WOOD AND HIGH RESISTANT PLASTICS, IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO USE IN A KITCHEN YOU DID BETTER LEARN HOW TO USE YOUR UTENSILS, I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THEM AND I WILL BLINDFOLDED RECOMEND THIS SET, IN TOP THAT IT IS A VERY RESPECTFUL BRAND, I ALSO BOUGHT THE WHOLE SET OF SPATULAS AND SPOON AS THE FOTO
We purchased these pans from site to store after over 30 years of using Farberware stainless steel pans that have been worn in to the ground. These non-stick, rubber coated handled, glass lidded pans are fantastic. The sizes are perfect with the exception being there is no 12" frypan. Otherwise, we are just thrilled with their eveness in cooking, ease of clean-up, and durability; not to mention, they're beautiful to look at. We will be giving these as gifts in the future, we're so taken with them.
I needed to replace my KitchenAid cookware set as it was lost in a move. Since getting the most for my money was a big point for me, I really did my homework before deciding on this set. I compared available products from here, Target, K-Mart, Overstock, Amazon, SmartBargains and Bed Bath & Beyond. Far and away, this was the best value. In addition, I definitely wanted a set comparable in quality to my prior KitchenAid set. It did not disappoint in any way. It is a beautiful set and has performed beyond my expectations. I think it is even better than my original KitchenAid set, which was quite a bit more expensive. I don't have anything bad to say about this set. It's sturdy, solid, well-constructed, heats evenly, all that good stuff. And being able to avoid shipping costs by utilizing the site-to-store option just sealed it for me. It really is easy to pick stuff up at the store. I just combined the pickup trip with a trip I needed to make anyway. Bottom line: This set is more than worth the cost and is a high-quality, high-performing set. I am really impressed and happy with my purchase.
I ordered this set b/c I loved the color, needed a new set and the price was just right. I love the rubber handles on the pans and lids. However, the sides of the handles are metal and I've accidentally touched that hot part more than once. I'm pleased with the eveness of the heating, which helps everything cook well and at the same time. I do not end up with burned or over-heated areas. Compared to my 30 yr old set, these pots and pans also seem to cook the food a little faster. The only thing I don't like is that edges are flared slightly outwards and the non-stick coating goes all the way to the very edge of the pan. So, if you tap your spoon handle against the pan edge to get everything off, it scratches the non-stick coating. I think it would have been better if the coating had stopped short of the rim. They have to hand washed, only takes a minute and I would do that anyway. Overall, I'm pleased with this set and I like/trust the Farberware name.
I received this set as a gift for Christmas. Six weeks later, the non-stick coating is chipping off, the red porcelain is chipping, and the bottom of the pans are discolored. My small pan and small saucepan are the only two pieces that are still like new. As a stay-at-home mom, I cook three meals per day with these pots and pans, so most get washed at least twice per day by hand. Even with careful washing and only using plastic cooking utensils, the product has not withstood normal usage. I am so disappointed. The largest saucepan is in the worst condition and all I ever cook in it is hard boiled eggs and frozen vegetables. There is no good reason why it is in such terrible shape.
My husband & I bought this set because of it's low price and beautiful color. However, it wasn't long before the non-stick coating started to peel off. I hand-wash all of my pots & pans and do not use metal utensils...I prefer plastic or wood. I would not recommend this set to anyone. I will be returning mine. DO NOT BUY!
This cookware is the worst. We have had it for a little over a year and the non-stick surface is flaking off every piece of it. We do not abuse this stuff, it just is flaking off from normal wear. Bought it because we thought the color looked nice but would never buy Faberware product again. A waste of money.
Very disappointed with the durability of the enamel finish on these. After only a few months the red enamel is very faded. I have always hand washed as suggested. The non stick cooking surface still looks new. I felt this was bad porcelain so I called Faberware and they told me I would need to mail them the pans and "IF" they determined it was a defect they would mail me new ones, if not they would send back the old ones. I would suggest you save a few extra dollars and buy a bit more expensive and durable set, my old "cheap" set of T-Fal looks better and they are 4 years old
