This TV meets, if not exceeds, the needs of the average viewer. The aps are superb. The picture quality is above average while the sound is of reasonable quality. All and all, I would rather have this TV at the price I paid vs a high quality upscale model that cost nearly twice as much.
There was only one around at this price " same model " the next day it was gone ( " I bought it " ) another day or so and there was another but it was 100 dollars or so more. Glad I jumped on it !! Makes getting netflix a sinch compaired to on the computer ! No silverlight issues at all. Arrived way earlier than I had been led to expect too !
Got this TV about three weeks ago; was very tepid of purchasing it refurbished but decided I would take a chance based on the fact that searching some reviews, it seemed like a great TV that fit my needs without breaking my wallet. I purchased it to ship to my home; bought the additional 4 year warranty to protect myself. Got it delivered; other than the foot stand being a little bit marred up on the plastic, the TV arrived in perfect condition (screen impeccably clean and picture perfect). Put the stand on easily and everything hooked up and worked perfect. Having a bit of issues with settings for things like HDTV viewing but doing a Google search got my settings set up right. Screen is HUGE compared to my older 37" Vizio. I love Vizio and the price for me was right; $551 with purchase, additional warranty, and tax! I gave it a shot to try refurbished and everything is fine so far!
I ordered the tv from the Walmart refurbished website The price was very reasonable The tv arrived very quickly with no visible damage to the shipping box. Unfortunately, whenever I turned the tv on,half of the screen worked and half did not. I called Walmart Customer Support, who told me that, since I had not saved the shipping packaging,I could return the tv to any Walmart. I called my local Walmart to confirm this, printed out a return form and took the tv to the store. Customer Service was great!! One of the associates went with me to load the tv on to a trolley, then took the tv back to the Customer Service desk for me. I was offered the option of either a refund or a Walmart gift card,so I chose the gift card as I planned to go online and order another tv(the tv that I returned is not sold in the stores). Everything took no more than 30 minutes and everyone was so nice and helpful!! Hopefully, the tv that I ordered online after I returned home will not have any problems!!
I'm not sure whether or not it was the lack of warnings to FedEx that the large box contained a TV or just the Christmas rush to drop (literally) and run all the packages, but I opened the frozen TV, let it thaw out and when I plugged it in I only had half of the screen had a picture. I bought the extended warranty and am still being re-scheduled to have it looked at. Hopefully, they can get it fixed so I don't have to return it and lose the money I spent on the warranty. I'm still sitting the fence on whether or not the refurbished was worth it. You read horror stories of this thing happening, only time will tell whether or not Walmart will take care of such a big purchase.
My TV was a Christmas present to my children. Upon opening box at store due to rips is box I found a cracked TV what a shame. Unfortunately will not have TV for Christmas because if I ordered another would not make it in time.
Got the TV shipped to my home. The box arrived beaten up and the TV inside is broken. The box doesn't fit in my car, so now I have to figure out a way to return this thing to the store. Way to go, Walmart.
Received the TV today. The box was half opened when I received it with a terrible tape job. The box was way to large for the TV allowing it to slide all around. O and I cant get a replacement because there are all out of stock go figure. I think I'm done with Walmart.
I wish I had better thing to say about buying refurbished electronic online. Bought this tv so I could send it out of the country. Thought it was a great deal-- until I got it out of the box and plugged it in that is. When I opened the box, there was a warranty slip in there that explains the 30 days warranty that comes with refurbished electronics, along with a note that certified that the tv had been thoroughly checked and passed every tests. I dicided to check the tv myself before shipping it out of the country. I am so glad I did because that would have been $480 down the drain. I plugged the tv in, I got nothing but a blue screen. I did everything I everything I knew, but was unsuccessful. To cut a long story short, I returned the tv and got my money back. This was a really bad experience. So buyers beware....when buying refurbished online...just because they say they checked everything, doesn't mean they did.
I had great hopes for this purchase as I already own the 50in. version that I bought on Black Friday. My kids have really enjoyed that TV in their playroom for the picture and the easy remote with Netflix button on it. So, when this deal popped up, it was a no-brainer to find a spot for it the house. However, it arrived in a plain, cardboard box with inadequate padding at the corners and no guide. Straight out of the box, I could see that the right edge of the screen "looked" different. Long story short, once put together and plugged in, half of the screen was shot. Two things could have happened. 1) The TV was like this when it was returned previously and was never actually refurbished or 2) The TV was damaged in transit due to the poor packing job. Either way, I was disappointed and will be wary purchasing another "refurbished" item.
