The classic American situation comedy Father Knows Best still had two seasons left to go when Season Four premiered (the program's final year on NBC) in the fall of 1957. This was the season that featured such adventures as Kathy (Lauren Chapin) goofing off at summer camp, Bud (Billy Gray) taking up mind reading, and Betty (Elinor Donahue) discovering to her horror that her mother, Margaret (Jane Wyatt) has joined her English class as a student. This set contains the entire run of Season Four - all 33 episodes. As an added bonus, the program also contains a number of Father Knows Best radio programs, and two episodes from Robert Young's one-season follow-up series, the CBS situation comedy Window on Main Street: "The Boy Who Got it Made" and "The Haunted House."

Light hearted family comedy

This is a family comedy suitable for all ages. It centers around small town America in the 1950's. Besides the parents there are three children who experience typical situations and how they handle them to become responsible and respectable members of the community. Very enjoyable as they are realistic and encourage honesty and doing that which is best for all concerned. I highly recommend this DVD for those who enjoy the simple every day life of the average family during this time period.
