I originally purchased the flameless luminary because I loved the design for their holiday shade. The vanilla frost one has snowmen all around it, and my Christmas theme is snowmen, so it was perfect. It is now mid-January, all the other Christmas decorations are packed up and put away, and I am still enjoying the scent of the original shade that I opened when I purchased the luminary in early December. Awesome staying power in a small studio apartment. For larger spaces, perhaps two might be needed. I am totally pleased with this purchase. I will be buying one for my bathroom and one for my kitchen as well.
Note: I live at home with my parents. My father has sinus problems and allergies. Any strong odors will throw him into a sneezing or coughing fit (a.k.a miserable). Thus I cannot use any candles, air fresheners, perfume, hairsprays..etc... I usually don't buy Febreze products because I tend to dislike the smells (I have a thing for Airwick products). This Febreze product was recommended to me by a friend. She stated it was amazing how you only have to change it once a week. She was so right! Febreze you got me hooked! I have this in the green tea citrus and really like the design over all. It's very pleasant looking and guess what? My dad cannot smell it from my room! Even though he can't smell it I can the moment I step into my room. It gives my room a very pleasant citrus like, clean, smell through out the room. The only thing that would make this better is a larger variety of scents and possibly adding in some sort of fan to move the smell from the spot it's sitting at.
I love these flameless luminaries! A much loved kittty once jumped on my night stand while I was burning a fragrance cande and disaster insued. Wax on the furniture and poor kitty! Luclky it was only a big mess and not an injured pet or fire! This problem is now solved and I can once again enjoy the ambiance and scent of a candle without any danger. My only negative is that is vey diffucult to find refills in my area.. The seasonal specials are only available with the starter kit and since I have several the expense is prohibitive.
I bought one of the Luminaries and bought the scent Cherry Blossom Whimsy-Tree. I love the scent but....I was sad to find out you cannot buy the refills for this particular scent. Will you ever have this scent in the refills. It is so wonderful you can smell it all over the house. Please let it be one of the scents you have out all the time. Sincerely, Nana
I have purchased this product in the past while in the store, and I just love it. Sure it might seem like a waste of money to some people. But, let me tell you how you can make sure to get the most out of this. Buy 2 of this product and if you don't already own one, buy one base unit for them. This way the shades cost you about $10 plus tax each month. That is about the same cost as a meal that you could get at McDonald's without ordering off the value menu. And these will help to get rid of any odder that you may have in the room that you have placed them in. And I think that it makes since that you have to throw them out after a week due to the fact that they are so thin.
I am a teengaer who wanted a great smelling room. Candels in my bedroom make my parents a little nervous so I decided to try out febreeze flameless luminaries. Is been about 2 weeks since i started using this product; I am just now replacing the shade. So far I have luved it and although the sent decreases as it sits out, it stll made my room noticably better smelling. I would definatly recomend this product.
I love this product. Love the way it smells and looks but especially how safe it is! i leave it on and come home to a fresh home without the fear of burning down the house. However, I can NEVER find it. I always have to buy Kits!!! Thats costly and I can never just find the refill at the retailers that carry the kits.
I have to agree with so many reviewers. The concept, design and scents are all A+, however the shades do not retain their smell for more than a day or two. For the price one pays for a pack of two, you can buy a scented candle that can be used for hours and hours. Either they should lower the price by half or find a material that will retain scent for a period of time.
This product caught my eye as I cannot put a regular plug in type air freshener in our bathroom due to the way our outlet works. I liked the concept, design and scent. However, I had an extremely hard time getting the shade to stay down to keep the light on and had to stick a piece of paper in there. Then, it kept shutting off spontaneously. It is quite frustrating and will continue looking for a product that meets my needs.
All though this is a great concept, and I especially like the 'flameless' aspect, it just doesn't live up to the price nor the expectations one would expect from Febreze. I totally have to agree with the above reviewer. The scent is very overwhelming day 1-2, but then it fades - QUICK! Also my unit stopped working after 3 months - drained 3 sets of batteries in a week - maybe a circuit issue???? Like I said....very disappointed!
