I wasn't sure when I purchased this item. But after we used it I am very pleased with my purchase and also the price we paid for it. Just know I will recommend this to my friendsand relatives.
Husband bought this for me for Xmas and I laughed. Until I used it. I love it.. I wanna laminate everything!!!
Today at 3:36 PM The Fellowes Personal Laminator machine M5 95 is a very light weight and simple device to manage. The instructions for the device are straightforward and in no time you have the ability to laminate an item that will help you keep it forever. There is a side switch that turns it one. The green ready light on the top comes on after the machine has warmed up enough to laminate your chosen item. The laminator film (two sheet which are connected at the top) is the size of a sheet of paper (8.5 X 11). That means that you can laminate an entire sheet of paper or choose to laminate several different items that can fit on an 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper. The machine has guide markings to help you place the laminator sheet in correctly. After the sheet goes in the machine it slowly moves through and comes out on the opposite side as a laminated sheet of whatever you placed on the other side. The lamination is very professional and sealed very tightly. I am very pleased with this machine and can see many uses for it. I can now protect my paper documents that tend to fray with a lot of use (social security card, medical card, etc.). This machine will save me tons of time in my kitchen since I can now laminate my frequently used recipes that are always getting damaged while I am in the cooking process. I had purchased this item for crafts and had it sitting around for quite a while before I finally used it. I just thought that it would be a pain in the tush to have to read the instructions, etc. When I finally got around to doing it, I was shocked that the instructions were so easy to understand and the laminating machine was so easy to use! The brochure that comes with the machine is long because it's in three different languages. So now I have my laminator on my desk and ready to use for projects. My recent project looked super professional and I absolutely love this laminator!!!!
Love this light weight machine because it travels easy to church where I volunteer with our young girls group. It is also a nice compact size. Even in the box it fits right into my tote bag. We laminated bookmarks this year and I'm sure we will do at least one craft project every year with this laminator.
I purchased M.5 laminator because I am a teacher and small business person. I was impressed by how easy it worked and how quickly it went through the heating mechanism. I was unable to observe any marks such as bubbling and so far, I am highly impressed. It adds to the saying, "best things come in small packages."
I just bought this product and I am completely satisfied! It's easy to use, fast and the result is amazing.
After years of fighting with school laminators as a teacher and getting inconsistent results, I decided to buy a personal laminator and use that instead. This model works great and is compact to store as well.
To start the item is compact, heats up quickly and produces nicely laminated documents, photo's, or cards. I use it for protecting my language training 3x5 index cards. Hole pages are no problem either. It always produces what you put into it. A word of caution when purchasing this item, the laminator opening can only support so much so thickness is an issue. If you are smart enough to purchase the laminator I'm sure you are smart enough to notice the amount of space you have to work with. The only time I jammed the item was when I tried to force a sheet through. The jam release function did little to help in this situation. If they had made a way to open it up for servicing at home... I had to replace the unit via return, which they actually didn't want to do for some reason but ended up doing so. Other than that its always on point and ready to do a little work. Plug it in and let it heat up and its go time.
I don't know if I got a defective laminator or not but the third pouch I laminated got jammed, the fourth was rolled at the top, and the very last one I am even going to try got completely stuck in the entire machine. I can't even get it out. It is a waste of paper and a waste of my money. I am extremely upset because I was very excited and this is only my second day having it. I haven't even had it for 24 hours, I received it in the mail last night.
