Works well with paper shredder and and cutting tool.
I should've bought this a long time ago because it would've prevented me from buying some many shreeders that stop working due to not being lubricanted. This oil works good. I will buy again when it runs out. It keeps my shredder running smoothly.
On July 4th three years ago I was at work and my brother was mowing lawns. someone broke into my home and set a fire in one of the rooms. I was able to salvage things but not all. there was a lot of smoke damage. My paper shredder was saved. I have been using it however it started shredding slow. I oiled it and it helped some. I fugure that maybe it's running slow because everyone is having their air conditioners running. Hopefully when no one is using their air conditioner's when we get cooler weather it will shred faster.
I use it daily to get rid of my info on letters safely. Not loud. Easy to use. My identity is more secure.
Picked up this bottle of lubricant for my shredder just to make sure I do all I can to make it last. Note: the bottle opening is sealed, so you do need to puncture it somehow. I recommend using a paper clip so that you only create a very small hole. If you were to cut it with scissors instead, you will end up creating a much larger hole than needed and it will pour too much when using it. Even with just a small hole, a little goes a long way, so be careful when using it. Overall, I highly recommend this for anyone who just needs a small bottle.
If, u decide to get 12c shreeder better get this item tom make the teeth last longer mine is new after every use 1/2 cup small amount dont use lot it will fling the oil down in to the bottom of the drawer i talk with lady on this do this and read the owners manuel this not oil its veggie oil its better than the regular this will make the machin last longer and dont want to get paper jams when the drawer fills up empty and oil it after every use................gary

I have a very expensive workhorse of a shredder. I got it back when you could get a 15 sheet shredder for $39.99 after rebates at an chain office supply store. I have had it for over 10 years! I dread the day it dies; since to replace it would be almost $200 now, maybe more; and I refuse to pay that kind of money. I decided to start really taking care of it; by using shredder lubricant sheets. Though they work; the cost adds up REALLY FAST! Then I saw this lubricant oil in a bottle. OMG! So cheap and easy to use! For under $10; I got enough oil to replace hundreds of lubricant sheets; which would have cost me a buck a sheet! This oil is easiest to use on an open top shredder; which I don't have. Mine is a closed top that has a protective lid that you pop up to use it; but the oil tip doesn't fit. My answer? Turn it over and put the oil in from the bottom! That's what I did; and will continue to do to keep this over 10 year old, 15 sheet workhorse form Auroracorp AU1530XB going. I run 2 businesses out of my home; and have A LOT of shredding to do!
