First, I must say that this is processed turkey, much like deli meats and sausages. I paid $3.88, box says it serves six, but it serves four generously. Freezer to table in about 21/2 hours. Not a gourmet feast but it tastes good, its tender has plenty of gravy. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or stuffing for a quick meal. Nothing beats a whole roasted turkey, but sometimes time and money just doesn't allow it. It's good eats on the cheap!!
Been eating this for years, can't understand why some folks are saying it is bad/nasty...... For less then $4.00 you get 2 lbs. of turkey loaf with gravy, just pop it in the oven for 2 1/2 hrs. and your all set. Goes good with mashed potatoes, you can even put a slice on a hamburger bun. As I said before, $4.00 you can't beat that. If you want a real whole turkey w/gravy packet then go buy that and waste a lot of time cooking it then craving it up.
What a tasty meal with fantastic gravy. I have been eating these for years. The leftovers make great sandwiches
This has been one of my favorite foods since childhood. It started out as Jennie O, and now it's called Festive, but it's the same turkey roast and gravy. My grandma and mom used to make these for our family, sometimes even for Thanksgiving. They're so easy to make - just pop them in the oven and make a side of mashed potatoes or rice to pour the gravy over. This turkey is so flavorful, boneless, juicy, and reminds of the turkey and gravy special days of school lunch back in elementary school. It is kind of small, so it only feeds about 2 people, but for the price, it is so worth it. It has disappeared from this area, so I drive up to 30 minutes just to purchase it.
Bring back the Festive or Jennie-o White and White and dark meat Turkey Roll with gravy. They were Great
I have been eating this for years, I have never had a bad one of these yet. This is a cheap meal and shouldn't be very surprising that it's processed and not fancy
I agree with another reviewer; have been using this product for years. Prefer the all white choice. Easy to cook since it cooks from frozen
Been eating them for years never had one to salty as one person said. Of course it looks like a meatloaf what part of the clue in the shape of the box didnt tell you that. Wish the Yuma location carried them i'd buy them. Each is enough for 3 meals for me being on my own. I cook it, make mashed potatoes, stuffing and usually corn. Left overs i make my own tv dinners and freeze the rest to pop in the mic.
It was supposed to be 2 lbs(32 oz), but it weighted in at a measly 1.13 lbs. That was the turkey loaf, the aluminum pan and the gravy. What a joke!
My wife and I bought one of these and cooked it. When we opened the container to check it after 2 hours, we found just one (1) piece of turkey in it. It was about 3" x 3" and the rest was all gravy. I called the number on the package with the UPC and they were already closed. I will call again the next day. I won't buy it again though since it looks like their quality control is terrible.
