Most ideas I've read about bugout bags call for a 3 day bag. After spreading all the choices out and choosing what I could and could not live without for 3 days this backpack was plenty. I broke it down even farther to put the most important items in the removeable fanny type pack in case I needed to move quicker and reduce the load I am carrying. Haven't field tested it yet but intend to spend 3 days and 2 nights on Buffalo River, Ark. to see how its going to work out.
first, the pack arrived 3 DAYS LATE! (10/4 was ETA, delivered 10/7), i'm not sure where the miss communication was in shipping? Ebags or UPS? On to the pack. the has longer than expected waist straps, BIG PLUS!! The pack how ever is "short" for my frame (i'm 6'1") even with the straps fully extended, it doesn't "sit" low enough for me. now, with that said, i'm sure when i remove the back pack portion and only use the fanny pack portion it'll "sit" just fine! storage? i'm about to transfer my turkey/archery gear to the pack to see how it will accommodate my gear. (thus only 3 stars) i think for $40 bucks, you cant go wrong, but we'll shall see!
