This is an exciting game that turns on your investigating mode. You want to go around getting the needed items, and kill the monsters.
I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he just loved it! He's a big Final Fantasy fan and he was happy to add this game to his collection! Walmart was great dealing with in ordering this product. Fast delivery and perfect condition!
I was unsure if I wanted to buy this product due to the limited reviews. I was able to see a video of the game play on another website and made the decision to buy this game. The game is alot more difficult then the snes version of this game. It counters this with innovative new features that add to the fun factor. For example you get augments through out the game that allow you to use new abilities. Some of these are inherited by party members who only stay with you a short time. There are also hidden augments that take a little bit of exploring to find. This game is better than it ever has been before with the dialogue completely modernized. Actors voice over many scenes to add depth to the story. There is a Namingway Sidequest, through the entire game you'll meet the namingway and he will offer you some interesting tools to add to the fun factor of the game. Early on he'll give you a quest to map out all the dungeons you explore. Each level of dungeon you map will grant you an item bonus once you have completed the map 100%. This helps a ton and I recomend you do it on every map. There is also a reward for completing all dungeon maps. The only thing about this game that can be a little annoying is the difficulty. You will notice this especially in boss fights later on. They use their special attacks alot more and can make short work of your party in a hurry. The random battles are also a little more difficult. It is a good idea to level up before some of the harder boss fights.
This game is awesome. I bought it expecting something similar to Final Fantasy III, which I already had, and found out that it has much more than I thought. It looks good, has easy controls, cool characters, a really good story line, and it's got a pretty good difficulty level. I'm very pleased with it and any other RPG fan would be, too.
If you liked any of the FF series you will love this one. It will remind you of the orginial but still has new twist to it. A great RPG.
Fans of Final Fantasy series will love this game.
The game and story are pretty good. I played it everyday, however the most frustated part is to get the rainbow pudding. That took me about two weeks, just training, to find it. I like the story and background music. And voice is pretty nice not so childish.
