A tried and true original, Finding Nemo is the Pixar movie that I have watched the most. It is full of quotable moments and quips, and there's always a joke in this movie to keep the mood light. Dory's character is fresh (enough to make an entire sequel about her family), and this journey film has suspense waiting around every corner. Nemo may seem whiny at times throughout the movie, but I'm not quite sure what else to expect from a child who has been separated from his father. Also, Finding Nemo really highlights the great improvements Pixar has made in their animation software, as everything is boldly and colorfully detailed (just look at the light bouncing off of the water droplets). Every character, from Crush the Aussie sea turtle to each of the classic “MINE MINE MINE” seagulls, has a distinct personality that contributes to the overall plot. Once again, Pixar deserves applause for creating this absolute gem.
