my 2yr old daughter loves this chair. It's very cute, but also functional & sturdy. The seat pops off easily, so that when my daughter was ready to sit on the real toilet, the seat fits right on the toilet and the base turns into a stool she can use to climb up and down.
My daughter started using this potty at a year old(well sitting on it), After she started using it she wanted to move to the big potty so we removed the top seat and placed it easily onto the big potty, turning the base into a stool for getting onto the potty and washing hands at the sink. She loves the flushing sounds also. This is a wonderful potty. She now uses the stool in her room to reach toys on her dresser top. Very study and strong.
My daughter loved this potty. It also worked well with the children I have cared for. The spill guard works fine if you show them how to move things or sit differently. The 3-way use is great. The colors are pretty good for both genders. It is very sturdy and easy to clean. I do wish it had more cutesie functions, but they are just gonna potty in it. It was a good value for almost 20 dollars. We'll use it until it falls apart... which will probably be when her child can use it!
This potty is great! My son is only 6 months and he is getting great use out of his new potty. The guard is a guard is a good height and get all the messes in side. I love the fact that you can move the potty to the big toilet when they get ready and the yellow seat turns into a step stool.
After reading other good reviews on this product I decided to purchase it for my 15 month old Son. He's not ready to potty training yet, but we were needed to buy a step stool for him so thought this would be nice since we can use it for a potty when he's ready. He's already too big for the little hole in the seat. Also the splash guard is way too low for him, don't think it would catch much. Also was disappointed that when the training seat is put on to a regular toilet there is no splash guard for boys. Maybe it's designed more for girls then boys. We will be returning this product and looking for something a little bigger and more suitable for little boys. I will say on a positive note this seat seems very sturdy and secure, fit nice and tight on our big toilet. Liked the idea that there are handles on the side to hold on to.
This product would be great for potty training a little girl but almost usless for a little boy. I bought this product for our son who was born premature and is quite small for his age. The height of the potty worked great but the splash guard is not tall enough for any little boy to use. I cleaned just as much messes up as I would if I bought one without a splash guard. I also didn't like the idea that when you switch it over to the toilet you no longer have any splash guard. The step stool works great for both of my kids ages 2 and 6 so I continue to use it for that reason but in the end I bought a padded seat that attaches to the toilet that has a much taller splash guard.
I bought this potty chair for my son when he was 18 months. The hole was too small, the splash guard was too low, and when you put the potty seat on the regular tiolet there is no splash guard. This potty chair is completly useless for a boy. I deeply regret buying this product. It ended up sitting in front of a dumpster, I hope the poor soul who needed it and snached it up has a little girl.
