We have had this Dora tricycle for about 1 1/2 years now. It has held up great! It has even been left outside on numerous occasions in the rain and everything still works. The only thing I do have to say is that it says ages 2 and up and when we first bought it my daughter was 2 and could not reach the pedals even with the seat adjusted. However, now she is 3 and can reach fine and goes very fast. I even catch her older brothers on it once in a while and it still works. I think she will still use this for some time. A good buy!
I purchased this tricycle for the birthday of my niece who was turning 3 years old. I wasn't able to attend her birthday party due to living in another part of the country so I had the store send it to my sister through the mail. My sister said that it showed up in great condition with a cute card contaning my personal message. She said my niece loves the tricycle. She loved the sounds and Dora stickers. My niece caught on quick and it was very easy for her to ride. It was the hit of the party. Walmart did an amazing job!
My daughter absolutely loves her Dora Trike. Even though at first she wasnt tall enough to actually ride the trike, all of the sounds it made and the interaction she has with it totally grabs her attention. Love this toy for my kid, would recommend it to anyone with a two to four year old!!
We gave this to my daughter for her 3rd birthday and we are so happy with it. It was easy to put together and has worked well (although we've only had it for a week) My daughter's feet can touch the pedals from the middle seat position (She's a little over 3 ft. tall), but it needs to be in the top position for her to have enough "umph" to push it. So, it should last us a while. She loves to ride it around the neighborhood and push the sound effect buttons. Several kids we don't even know have stopped to tell us how cool her bike is! She has no idea who Dora is so we just left off the stickers. I would definitely recommend this big wheel. The only thing I wish is that it had a hand brake to slow down the wheels when going down a hill. Instead, my daughter just puts her feet down and drags them.
This bike was very easy to put together between my husband and I it took about 30 minutes. My daughter is avg ht. for a 20Mo. old but her feet still can't reach the pedals. Since it's winter I"m hoping that she will grow into by summer, she still likes to scoot around with it in the house and push the buttons to hear dora talk and listen to the music. (which is sort of loud) but for me not annoyingly so. If you do puschase it make sure the batteries (which are included) are working before you put the basket on or you"ll have to disasemble a bit. Overall a good buy.
After reading the reviews I was well aware of the product that I would be receiving. It doesn't work great all the time when using it on concrete, but my daughter loves it. I am glad I got it for her third birthday. It was actually a hit at her party. I brought it out for the kids to ride and even a 6 year old was enjoying it.
We bought this product for my three year old daughter. Even with the seat all the way forward she barely reaches the pedals. It won't go in the grass or on gravel. It needs a smooth surface. I was expecting a more versatile product. She does like the noises and music, but it is wobbly and hard to turn.
I always read reviews on gear for my kids before I buy it so when I saw what great reviews this got I thought it must be a good tricycle. We bought it for our 2 1/2 year old daughter for Christmas and she couldn't reach the pedals. She just turned 3 and still can't reach even though she is tall for her age. She gets frustrated every time she tries riding it. Her friend who is almost 3 tried it the other day and got very frustrated because she couldn't reach either. If you read the reviews a lot of them mention their child couldn't reach the pedals but they still give it a 5 star rating anyway. I wish I would have got her a small bike instead. She is riding her brother's old bike all over the place now. She did like the music and sounds for the first little while, but doesn't even look at it much now.
the bike has been in my closet more than my daughter has actually rode it. i was so excited to buy it for her and thought it was a great value. it wasnt hard to put together. she was so excited when she saw it then come time to ride it the wheel spins for a little bit then just slides. unless you have a perfectly smooth space for your little one to ride on do not buy this bike. it is very cute but a waste of money.
We bought this for my Daughters 2nd bday. She is a tall one and just now at 3 1/2 can reach the peddles. It took a whole year she is 3ft 2 now and only 30 lbs. The cheap wheels spin too much on the side walk when she tries to use it. I am just gonna give it away. A waste of money for me.
