This was the "big" present from mommy and dadddy at my son's second birthday party, which was pirate themed. He loves it. He quickly figured out how to fire the water cannon and loves doing that. He's still working on getting the missile back in. He likes the sounds it makes and it seems to hold his interest for 10-15 minutes at a time, which is great. I also got him the JatNP figurines set thinking that they would fit on the boat. They don't, but he doesn't care. He puts them on there anyway. He's happy, so I'm happy.
this is a gift for Christmas for my grandsons..i am sure they are going to like it,because right now they are into priates:)
My son couldn't wait to play with Jake. Love Disney for having such great toys for little kids.
We guessed this was the perfect gift for my son's 4th birthday and we couldn't have been more right. He loves his Bucky!!! The quality of the ship is excellent. Not some cheap plastic garbage that will break right away. The only issue I had was the price. I think it could be a little lower.
I bought this as a gift for my son who was turning 5 he has wanted this for about a year. in fact he was going to save his money for it. He loves it! It is actually cooler than I thought it was going to be Fisher-Price thought of everything including it has a little cannon that shoots blue sticks out (I assume that it suppose to be water) anyway most toys in my experience do not have somewhere to put the extra "sticks" this does. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and size of this "Jake & the Neverland ship "BUCKY" ! It is pretty sturdy (unlike some of the Barbie toys that I've purchased) and came completely assembled with the exception of two or three small items that snapped on. Also, BATTERIES were already included & installed !! I did remove the "firing missiles" before wrapping this gift for a 4 yr. old boy. I'm certain that he & his sister will enjoy many hours of fun together, due to the fact that they have the complete set of Jake & the Neverland Pirates Figurines (sold separately) which includes "Izzy" whom little girls really favor in the group of "savers" of the pirate treasure. This will be a sought after gift for Christmas, I'm sure.
my 4 yr. old grandson will have many hours of fun with this. I played with it before I wrapped it and found it to be quite durable & colorful and the sounds are cute. Land Ho for an adventuous good time.
Granny couldn't resist and gave this to our grandson 2 weeks ago. It was so cute I sort of let it almost fall into his lap.Our grandson said "WOOOOW!" He certainly knew it was the fabulous Bucky and we opened it together. We spent an hour or more playing with and discovering things to do.(With Bucky,Jake,Scully and Tic Toc Croc) Our grandson wanted to "go shop!" --Captain Hook was out there don't ya know! Thats what I meant by stocking stuffers--our daughter and son-in-law plan to buy the figures that don't come with the ship. I was a little disappointed by that. I looked around the internet myself and couldn't find anything --with Jake's friends. CAptain Hook was there but one was sold out.The tic toc door does fall off and I put it on several times.I don't know if we were pushing too hard? The door doesn't break but when we are playing ooops there it is on the floor. I didn't really expect it to be educational as far as counting reading ect. We did some of that but the imagination gets tempted by all of the places little folks can put the figures.We moved them all around and when Jack let I found a cow and a race car in the ship.Bucky was hauling some merchandise and a farm animal--we can improvise.The cannon figure can be easiy supervised and explained. All in all very good,cute but some minor kinks in design.
I bought this for my great nephew for Christmas. I really wish I had a picture or video of when he opened it. He is just 2 and he was so excited. He said "Oh Man, Look at that, it's Jake." He was playing with it, before it was even out of the box. He's a rough n tough little guy, and this toy has been played with like crazy. He even thought he could sit on it and ride it, but that was stopped before it broke, but it hasn't broke in the hands of lil rough n tough toy tester. There are very few things to learn about on this toy, so I rated it fair. He would like if more things opened or moved, but overall, he really loves his Jake Ship. It was definitely worth the $35 that I paid for it.
