We bought these headphones to go with the DVD player and to be used in the car We have a three year old that loves his movies in the car. These are built like fisher price biulds everything. They are sturdy and can take the abuse of a small child. We love them
My son has a hearing problem in one ear and his ENT said he is not to wear headphones. But he loves to listen to music and to listen with his CD player and headpones The solution - these headphones. Mom and Dad are not standing over him, checking to make sure they are not to loud and he can listen to his music. Win - Win My son is 6 yrs old - so in another year or two they will be too small for him, but for now - they are perfect!
It has wonderful sound quality. It does not let it get as loud as it would if it were regular headphones. The only bad side, that I found was, the cord is not very long. It is a good buy for my 3 year old. I would not recommend this for a much older child.
I love this product. My son was almost 5 yrs old when my sister sent him a media player for Christmas. He had a difficult time trying to keep the earbuds in his little ears. So that is what prompted me to purchase this product. He loves it it stays on his head perfectly. My favorite feature that it will not allow the volume to go too LOUD for his small ears.
We got these for both our Kids and they both love them. The best feature is definitely the volume control, which is built in to ensure their ears won't get blasted when they turn the radio up to loud. The plug also fits in some of their noisy toys, which is great for us parents - more quiet time, less headaches.
Great Product. We just got it, so I'm not sure how long it will last with wear and tear from a three year old, but it works and he likes it so far. Two negatives: Didn't fit in Jet Blue Seat headphone jack. Wish the cord was a little longer.
I got these for my son to use on an airplane. They are volume controlled and way to quiet for a plane. They are the perfect size. He is only 1 1/2 and they fit great. Great for use at home or in the car. They grow to fit an adult head. Love the fact that the sound will not hurt his little ears!
I found that this will help save your childs hearing. My son like is loud, but with these headphone he is unable to do that. The sound is controled by the headset. We will be hiding the other ones from him!
I purchased the fisher price dvd player and I received the original headphones and they were great... Well my little guy deceived he would rather bite on the cords and I ended up buying this pair and I don't like them because my son could barely hear the movie. He kept complaining that he couldn't hear the movie. I then tried them for myself and to my surprise he was right. The volume control is set tooo low and theres no way of adjusting the sound.. wish they would bring the original ones back...
The whole reason we bought these headphones was so that our 5 year old son would be able to watch his personal DVD player in peace on roadtrips. In the past, his while using his previous headphones, he was able to hear our radio and us talking more than his DVD. Thinking this would be the perfect solution, we did not hesitate give these headphones a try. Boy were we disappointed. Though the quality of the headphones does appear to be "kid tough" we will never actually be able to find out since we've already trashed them. The volume is sooo low that it is barely audible. Even if you were all alone in a quiet room, you would have to strain your ears to hear a thing! Fisher-Price has sure let us down on this one. I hate that we wasted money on such a useless item.
