This is by far my daughter's favorite toy that she got for Christmas. She plays with it everyday. She loves putting the shapes in the jar so that the cookie jar will sing. In just a few days she's began to understand that the shapes can go in the designated spaces on the side of the jar. I would definitely recommend this toy because your child will love it and it's also inexpensive.
She got this for her birthday along with tons of other toys and this is the only toy she still plays with!
I bought this product for my one year old grandson and he just loves it. He plays with it just about every day. He really seems to enjoy the music and smiles when he can get it to "sing" to him. I also liked the feature that allows you to set it to "say" the number instead of the shape, not many other sorting toys do that.
My granddaughter has had the Fisher Price Cookie Jar for 4 years (since she was 2). It's a very durable toy, and we can still find all of its pieces (7 total) if we dig through the toy box. This is a great learning toy that teaches shapes, numbers, colors, etc. It's excellent for helping to develop logic and coordination. My age recommendation would be 6 months to 3 years. This is a toy that will take lots of hard knocks. I operate a daycare in my home, and all of the little ones like this cute little Cookie Jar. They play with it everyday. I purchased another Cookie Jar this year to donate to a needy family with a 1 year old daughter.
I bought this for my six month old for Christmas. Although she is still to young to play with it at its full capacity, she does enjoy the songs and the shapes. I read reviews that the shapes were hard to fit in the holes, but I tried it myself and they go in without a hitch. Its a little pricey for what it does, but it beats the old shape sorter that isn't as fun!
This is a product for toddlers interested in pushing buttons; there is music and a flashing light. My 15 month old grandson loved this toy; he is fascinated with all things mechanical. He would try to push the shapes into the holes but the fit is very tight and he lacks the dexterity right now. With help he could push the shape in and the toy would sing about the shape or the number. He was just as happy taking the lid off the cookie jar and putting the shapes in and out at will. He discovered the little button in each cutout on the jar that prompted the song for the appropriate shape. He would press the button to hear the song and dance to the music. It will be perfect when he is 18 months old I think.
My daughter received this toy at 8 months of age. We've had it for a little over a month, and she absolutely loves it. She likes to put all the shapes in, then put her hand in, swirl them around, and pull one out to see what she can get. The songs are not annoying. By far her favorite toy, at the moment.

I like this a lot better than a regular ol' shape sorter, that's for sure! My son would get so frustrated with the other block sorter and throw it!! This one, at least when he can't get the shape through, he'll go ahead and hit the buttons which are in each shape and it plays music for him! Overall, if I had to buy it again.... I would!
