This product is the most used item that I received when my son was born. He is now 17 months old and we continue to use it any time he goes to bed. I bought this for my sister's new baby because it was so great for mine. The babies love the lights, movement, and sound. As toddlers, they can turn it on and off by themselves. It keeps them entertained when they wake up and helps them fall asleep with ease.
I would recommend this product to ALL parents of an infant or toddler. It has several different settings for volume, music, nature sounds, lights, and water sounds that you and/or baby can adjust. It also has one large easy-to-use button for turning it on and off that baby can figure out and use very quickly. The ONLY thing I would change about this product would be to add a remote that parents could use from the doorway of the child's room to turn the music back on so you wouldn't have to walk back into the room and disturb the child. Our son was very colicky and was a very poor sleeper. We tried multiple products that promised to soothe babies and help them sleep, but none of them worked. My husband and I finally discovered the Fisher-Price - Rainforest Waterfall Soother one day when we were at Walmart when our son was about 6 months old. We thought at such a good price it was worth it to try, because we were both desperate for sleep. It really did help him relax and go to sleep more easily on many occasions. Of course, he was still a poor sleeper, but this product helped decrease his crying and waking quite a bit. Within a few months, he learned to push the button on his own and we'd hear him wake up in the middle of the night or during a nap, turn on the music, and go back to sleep! Almost every morning, he likes to lay in bed and listen to his music and watch the animals and lights before he gets up. In fact, if you try to get him up before he's had time to listen to his music, he refuses, LOL! He'll even turn the music on during the day when he's just playing in his room. Our son is now 22 months old and today we put him down for a nap in his toddler bed for the first time. We were sure to attach his soother to the bed and he fell right to sleep with no problems at all.
i'am so glad that my wife and i bought the rainforest waterfall soother. since the arrival of our son it has been a great help to us when laying him down for bed or naps.
I purchased this waterfall soother for my 5-month old grandson. He loves to rest for some quiet time, and watches everything. He looks relaxed, happy, and contented. Thank you Fisher Price. God bless you......
My son uses this toy to fall asleep EVERY NIGHT! He loves this thing. I've found myself needing to hear it now to haha! We take it everywhere with us. Too bad it did not have a smaller travel size:) I would buy this product over and over again.
My son loves this and is in awe every time he watches and listens to it. It is extremely soothing as well. When I notice him getting tired around his bedtime, I bring him into his room, turn the lights out and push the play button. He stares at it for about a minute and then I put him in his crib. I slowly walk out of the room and by the time the music is done, he is out like a light. I love this product because it is easy to associate it with "bedtime" because it is so soothing. It is even useful when you're just trying to get a few things done and want to entertain your baby for a few minites. I set him in his crib, and he will just listen to the music.
I am a big fan of soothers. My first son loved his, so with our second son I knew I had to get another one. I like the different settings. I do wish that there was a separate button to adjust the time duration, because the settings of what type of music and light displays effect the time length. Other then that I like this product.
Just received it, Looks Good, Have heard is excellent, Old one had lasted through 2 kids for my friend who suggested it as a present, so looking forward to giving it and seeing it how it performs. So far, happy with the toy and the condition it arrived.
My daughter really likes this soother. I do too, although the battery life isn't that great if you use it at full capacity (i.e.: lights, movement and sound). I like that it shuts off automatically, but wish it had a dimmer on the light. It seems a bit bright when it's time for bed...even my daughter says it's too bright! All in all, though, I do like the product and would recommend.
Bought this soother for my daughters first Christmas. It really is cute and I like the lights & movements however... Right away I noticed the water in with the fish was half gone. There are bubbles the blow out to make the fish move, making it to look like it's swimming. But when the fish is out of the water, this feature does not work. Went to exchange it for a different one, but the ones in the store were even worse. I re-read the reviews and now I have to agree with most of them. The box does say 16 minutes of music but it only plays 8. The monkey swinging back and forth does develop an annoying squeak. So for the price we paid, we will be returning it and getting another crib soother of a different brand.
