This ruler showed up right on time for our measurements unit now that we are doing distance education at home bc of the coronavirus pendemic. It's sturdy enough to withstand an 8 year old boy, clear enough to read, and conveniently comes with holes for binder storage.
This is a great product especially if you are a DIY person. I am disabled and using a tape measure is sometimes very difficult. But with this ruler I can measure most things that I need to measure. I like that it has a plastic edge so you can make accurate lines. Also it fits easily in my walker or apron. I would highly reccomend.
We have a ruler however for some reason it did not have centimeters on it so this is perfect it's extremely lightweight I do wish you had a little bit more heaviness to it so I feel like this could break really easily but I do like that it is made of wood I like that the edge is plastic and not metal I like that it's clear so you can kind of see the lines through it I like that the Brewer has a lifetime guarantee on it so that's really nice and it's perfect for my kids when we're just drawing we have used it to hang up some stuff we've used it in art class with used in math class definitely recommend this if you just need a ruler this is a great ruler and does the job easy to use like I said the only con I have to is just the fact that is not very heavy duty and could break easily other than that it's perfect
This Fiskars ruler is simple but perfect for my needs. It is excellent for measuring and drawing. The plastic edge is less sharp but works as good as a metal edge! It fits perfectly inside a binder to store it without it getting misplaced.
I was asked to provide my honest review of the Fiskars 12 inch wooden ruler. At first I thought, "What can I say? It is a ruler." So then I started to really think about all of the details that would make a person choose this ruler over another brand. My first choice would be price but since I received this item for free, I do not know what the price of the item was at the time I received it. Next would be the quality of the ruler. It feels pretty strong and durable. It is made out of wood which I prefer to plastic. My kids break the plastic rulers in half usually within a week of buying them. It has a plastic edge instead of metal which I also like because I have a child who likes to run his finger up and down that edge for some reason. Last, it has holes punched in it which makes it convenient to put into the rings of a binder for easy storage. It does include metrics on one side of the ruler. Overall, better quality than plastic and easy to read. Very pleased.
This 12” ruler is light but sturdy. It is accurate and has a clear plastic edge on one side to assist with drawing a straight line. My children use it with their homework and I use it around the house for different projects requiring a straight edge. I like that one side of it has inches and the other side has cm’s. I’ve come to know the Fiskars name as synonymous with quality and functionality.
I received this product, the Fiskars 12-inch Wood Ruler, through the Spark Reviewer program. This is a good quality wooden ruler. The markings are clearly labeled in inches and centimeters, it is solid wood (lightweight), and it has a plastic edge to use when drawing a fine straight line. It has holes in it for a three-ring notebook or if you just wanna hang it up. So I have to say that I am very pleased, this wooden ruler for the children who are new to the thought of measurement. I do recommend this product for you to have around the house or for the school children. It also has a limited lifetime warranty.
The Fiskars wood ruler is a great item for students. One side is metric and the other side is standard. My son had to measure metric items for math last school year and our previous ruler didn't have the ability to do that. This ruler will be a great addition to his back to school supply. The numbers are easy to read and it's thin so will fit nicely in his binder.
Overall, I am pretty happy with the Fiskars 12 inch wood ruler. It’s a pretty basic and classic ruler but one huge improvement is that it now has a plastic edge. The only thing I don’t like is that it is made of wood, which could give you splinters while using it if it doesn’t stay in perfect condition. It seems to be made really well though, so this is a minor concern. The ruler is good quality and feels pretty sturdy. I think it will hold up well over time. It’s a standard 12 inch length, and is great to use in a classroom setting or office – anywhere you need to do any type of small measuring on paper. I like that it has the holes so you can place it in a binder. The numbers are large and easy to read, and the tick marks are big enough to read as well. I like how it stays flat while using it, and doesn’t seem to have any problems with getting warped. I would definitely recommend this wood ruler to anyone that needs a good quality, simple ruler that is easy to use and will hold up well over time.
I really like this ruler. The numbers and lines are easy to read and count. My favorite feature is the metal straight edge. I have found that my kids measure more accurately on their first try because the metal edge makes it easy for them to line up the measurements. For reference, my kids are in 3rd and 4th grade. The only flaw I see in this ruler is that it is quite thin. Upon opening the package I noticed it felt a little flimsy and like it may splinter or break easily. For that reason, I'm reducing this review by one star. I don't see this ruler lasting throughout an entire school year without breaking.
