I bought these for sewing wasn't sure if I would like the handle but I love these and plan to buy a second pair for everything else. These scissors tend to get taken when my mother comes over to sew (apparently she loves them as well). They are very sharp the tip especially.
I love them so well I have three pairs. They are easy to use and very sharp. It takes very very little strength to use them. Very easy to use when snipping rag quilts.
I bought some of these on clearance once and I wish I had gotten more than one pair. They are the best scissors I have ever used, hands down. They cut fabric like a dream and I can even use them with my left hand!
After speaking with a friend about having trouble finding a really good pair of scissors that would not cause my hand to cramp up, she recommended the Fiskers Softouch Spring Action Micro-Tip Scissors. Being a crafter, I needed scissors that would cut intricate paper images for collage, card making, scrapbooking, etc... AND that would not put any added pressure on my thumb to avoid further injury. I ordered these scissors and had them in my hot little hands in just a few days. I will admit they took a little getting used to at first. But, now that I've used them daily, they are my new "Go To" scissors! Easy to use, accurately cuts even the smallest images, cleanly cuts ribbon and fabrics, and they do not tire the hand like conventional scissors. Wish I had bought these scissors years ago! LOVE them!!!!
This is my second pair of Fiskers scissors and I like them because of the unique cutting motion. You 'squeeze' the handle to cut. These scissors are great for people with arthritis, MS, Muscular Dystrophy or any other problem that causes weakness of the hand. Another great feature is they can be used by both right handed and left handed people, you no longer have to have another special pair for the lefty's in the family!
They are sharp. They are pointed. Easy to use.
Have done quite a bit of pruning using these scissors with no problems. The handle design doesn't require the use of your thumb as much to operate the blades and the spring assist provides less hand fatigue.
I love these scissors they are my go to for clipping threads or any small sewing project. When the old ones become dull and as any sewer knows dull scissors on fabric are useless, I use them in the kitchen for cutting the yuck parts off meat and open packages. Great little product!
I bought these scissors to use when I was making a rag quilt. They really worked well for that project. The only thing is when I went to slide the safety button down it broke. So now I have to use a rubber band to make them stay closed.
Enjoy using these but is very surprised they did not come with a cover for the very sharp scissor tip. The very same scissors sold at Walmart stores only cost 70% and did have a tip cover.
