I absolutely love this hole punch. It is easy to use and inexpensive as well. Great product for the price.
I have been trying to find something that cut perfect 1" circles for button-making. This cutter is beyond perfect! The circles pop right out when you squeeze the cutter. You can even see a perfect preview of the circle that you're cutting, which is amazing! I even tried this on slightly thicker paper and it worked beautifully. I have the Flex 1000 button-making machine and this cuts the 1" circles a tad smaller, which is actually perfect and I have no more mylar mistakes! The only issue with purchasing from Walmart is that I anticipated the blue cutters and received the white ones. This is not an issue for me, but may be an issue for some. Fiskars is a fabulous brand. I also very highly recommend Fiskars scissors. You cannot go wrong with this brand.
I was hesitant to order this as some reviewers said it was hard to use or that it pinched their palm as they were squeezing it. I have no idea what those reviews were about because this is the easiest circle punch ever. It requires so little effort that my almost 3 and 5 year old use it easily. It punches a perfect 1-inch circle and you can see EXACTLY what you are punching out without having to flip the device upside down. Highly recommend!
I already have the larger circle punch and really love it. This one was a lot smaller than I had envisioned, but works the same - very little effort, quick and easy to use. I will get more shapes with this squeeze punch design. I did notice that with the smaller circle it was a little easier to accidentally miss the edge and not get a full circle, but I think that's just because it's smaller than my 2" punch. If you have arthritis or not much hand strength, this is a wonderful tool.
These work fine with heavier paper, but the thinner scrapbooking papers it does not punch all the way around. I would not recommend this item.
