This product works really well and even made a horrible pair of scissors usable. Just a couple of swipes of the scissors on the sharpener and they work great.
I have owned this sharpener since it first came out years ago. I have not bought a new pair of scissors since then! It works great! Just remember don't use great force, simply let the scissors glide closed! Great product! And such a good price.
Had to return..it was not for left handed scissors..
So simple a gadget - and it works! No battery, no electricity needed. Compact and easy to store - I'm glad to have it. It costs too much to have a professional sharpen your scissors.
I wanted to replace the small orange Fiskars sharpener I've used for 20 years... this one is even better. It sharpens my dulled, jagged and nicked scissors in 4-5 swipes, making all my shears like new again. The price was fair and I know it will last me many years.... I just won't wait 20 again!

I have serval scissors that either needed to be thrown out or sharpened. I have only used it once but I believe this has worked. I thought the scissors would be a little sharper. I may run them through some more times. I feel as though I need a new pair of scissors to be able to see how sharp they should be.
Have used this on every pair of scissors I own, great little item. It's in my sewing box for quick fix, will save me money in the long run.
Bought in hopes of being able to sharpen my Fiscar scissors..the type that you squeeze. Neither I, or my husband could get them sharpened to cut fabric. He picked up a small little tool, pocket knife size, and finally got them sharp for me.
