Excellent product and quality worth for price paid. Great idea for small places and even corner spaces. Good functionality with 3 drawers and space.
SOME screw holes didn't match up and a couple parts were bent.
Very sturdy and nice color
When it came the box wasn't beat up lol. Now the instructions were alright but kind of frustrating because it only showed pictures and what screws but cmon have some image written down. The top of the desk peeled to the point that I stopped caring. All in al a good desk
I bought this desk for my daughter's room. assembly was pretty easy but out the box there were smudges and rust on some of the parts which is hard to see after being fully assembled
When assembly was completed the finished product looked good and is well built. However, assembly instructions were poor with only pictures and no written explanations. It took me over 5 hours to assemble since I made several mistakes because of the poor instructions. Would recommend it but beware of the challenges assembling. Would have given it five stars had there been better assembly directions.
All the parts were there and labeled with letters or numbers. I felt some of the instruction steps were out of order and instruction drawings were just ok. It did come with an Allen wrench, but you will need a medium Phillip, large Phillips and/or a flat head screwdriver for assembly.
If the holes were in the correct spot and it didn't get so beat up in the shipping process I would have loved it. Yes the instructions are kind of vague but if you have set up furniture before you can do this, just pay close attention to the pictures. My 14 year old daughter and I set it up in about 2 hours. except the extra hour of frustration when we realized the top shelf above the drawers was not in the correct place. It was too low so you couldn't put the top drawer in. I though it was just because two of the tracks came bent. I had to hit them with a hammer to straighten them out. I ended up taking the top shelf out and just resting it on the pegs, put it back together and the drawers slid right in. The desk is not as stable as it should be because of my "bush fix". But I had to have it for my daughters home schooling. The desk also came with one of the corners bent and two of the drawers were chipped in the back. The box them came in was heavily damaged. The box seemed to be really old, like it had been in a hot warehouse for four years and I could tear it with my bear hands. Hence all the product damage. We kept the desk and my daughter loves it. I can look past the problems since we HAD to have it.
Whoever manufactured this measured the drill starts for the drawers in the wrong location so when I put it together the top drawer wouldn't fit into the desk. Also the first step was to put the rails on for the drawers and the last step was to put the drawers that you make into the desk so I wasn't able to see that there was a manufacturing mistake until after I spent the two hours putting it together. Since the top drawer wouldn't fit into the desk I had to unscrew every rail and estimate by eye where the drill starts should have been and screw the rails back in accordingly. This was a lot harder to do because 1) there were no drill starts in these locations 2) the side walls of the cabinet that the drawers fit into were now vertically upright since the desk was put together instead of laying flat on the ground so I had to hold each rail in place with over hand while I tried to screw it in with my other hand and hope that the screw wouldn't fall or the rail wouldn't slide from where I measured it to be. After a few failed measurements by eye of where these rails should have been I managed to fit all three drawers into the desk but they were still in wing positions because they overlap each other and in order to open the bottom drawer you have to open the second drawer first. So it's still not put together the way it was designed to be. Not to mention it took me an additional hour and a half just to do all of this. I contacted Walmart and they told me I could either have it replaced but I would have to take it all apart and mail it back to them and also wait for the new one to come in the mail in which I would then have to put together or get a refund of only 10%. I wasn't going to do the prior option because my wife needed this desk so she can work from home and quite frankly I want going to go through all of that again to possibly end up with the same problem all over again. So I got a refund of 10% which I thought was very unfair and unreasonable. I used up so much time trying to fix a mistake that quality control should have caught and to only get $15.48 back from it just didn't seem right. Maybe if I was compensated for 50% I wouldn't be so upset.
The instructions are incredibly vague. I have put together more furniture and toys over the years than i care to remember. I threw it in the dumpstwr after 2 weeks of it sitting in my living room unassembled.
