It's simple and straightforward to assemble. The seats are comfortable the hydraulics are smooth.
Bought this as a workbench stool (wine red). It was easy to put together, is sturdy and comfortable for moderate durations. It's a great addition to the shop and my kids are already begging for another. I really like the wine red color but cannot vouch for any other. Highly recommended.
I bought this drafting stool for use in my classroom. I am an elementary music teacher and I am on my feet nearly all day every day. I started looking at drafting stools and found them to be kind of pricey until I came across this gem on the Wal-Mart site. While I am very tech-minded, I have never used the "site to store" feature that Wal-Mart offers. I have to say - very cool! Ordered on a Sunday, it was in the store by Thursday (although I never did receive the "your order is here" email that I was supposed to get). It was SO easy to put together (five hexagonal screws - that's literally it - AND they even include the hex wrench). My students comment on the chair all the time and it is extremely comfortable to sit in.
I wanted a backless stool for my kitchen bar height table, but decided on this one anyway. I was pleased to find that the backs do not need to be installed, so you can have this stool with the back or without a back without requiring major modification. Also, they work very well as they come (with plastic sliders on the leg bottoms) on carpet and, with only some felt tabs, they work extremely well on hardwood. I replaced round chrome based barstools (see pic) that didn't have much surface area for felt pads and consequently didn't slide easily on the hardwood. These are much more functional since they have feet instead of a round base like most. Also the bar going completely around the stool makes them more comfortable for resting your feet than many of the other barstools available. Awesome price for the product. I got this chair in red for a new drafting table I purchased and love it. Very easy to assemble, and very comfortable. The only warning is when I first put the chair on the base, it wasn't clicking in place and it fell off a couple times after I would stand up. But it finally clicked and works just fine now. Am definitely happy with it - the price, comfort, style and quick delivery could not be beat.
I have three of the desk models also. They are lower and have wheels. They actually accent the rooms they are in. This particular chair is in my bathroom. I have a bad back and have to sit down to brush my teeth or shave. This chair is so comfortable and I don't have to move it as it swirls like a bar stool.
I was surprisingly pleased by this chair. It's just about high enough for my needs and actually pretty comfortable. If there's a downside it's that the lift sinks a few inches under my weight but a small stand was enough to make it high enough to maintain a standing height even when sitting. I wouldn't risk leaning back on it too often or too hard as it made of plastic and a cheaper metal but since most of the professional chairs in that do this cost several hundred to half a grand this is a really good chair for the price.
i really like them but one came in damaged. I really hadn't done anything about it figured it would be to much hassle. It is a bummer because i really like the chairs
If you lean over, the seat will crack between the front edge and the hole near the front on the side you put weight upon. The rest of the features (swivel, hydraulic up/down, 5-leg stability, backrest, fit and finish) are all top-notch. I repaired the cracked seat with a piece of strap steel under the seat and a few pop rivets and now it's fine. Were I to buy another, I'd apply the steel and pop rivets before use.
Ordered three of the red whine and the back rest bracket that the actual back rest slides down into was not shipped! No help from anyone! Tried getting back rest bracket shipped and nothing, all talk.
