Makes me feel comfortable in the chance that electricity should go out. Easy to install into lantern and maintains consistent light. Good product for emergency preparedness.
These are quite costly at 7'' for a buck. Many hardware stores have wicks of variety widths for about 15b feet to 25 feet on a roll for under $8.00. Lot of wick but if you have several lamps you will use it. Wicks nowadays are very cheaply made usually in China out of inferior material that does not last long. most lamps need at least an 8'' wick-- but you can put in one 2 feet long if you buy a wick roll and they last a LONG time with trimming that way. SAVES time and money with wicks under 50 cents a foot!
