This is awesome. Ordered this for a large gathering. Worked perfect. Makes lots of coffee and keeps it nice and hot.
I have always been happy with west bend coffee urns very durable and dependable. When the pot I've been using for about 15 years finally went bad. I went online to find another one..
My father bought this coffee maker in 1992. back them it was made in the USA. i still use it to this day for party's and events. I have never had an issue. So, 20+ years later, still the same. Maybe WESTEND needs to bring the manufacturing back to the USA to make these things last longer.
I love my 30 cup coffeepot and I really want to order another one.
We tried others but this was the least cost and simplest and best performance.
I got this for my birthday and I absolutely love it but I have to say you must use a coarse ground coffee you cannot brew Maxwell House or the normal coffees in a can at the store the grind is too small you will get grounds in your coffee. The coffee maker gets really hot hence the black spot on the bottom inside after use that another reviewer spoke of. The reason I wanted a percolator instead of a drop coffee maker was I have hard water if you are going through coffee makers this one will last through hard water no more wasted money on coffee makers that don't even last six months this one is die hard
I have been using this model Westbend Urn for over 30 years.I use it exclusively for boiling water.It remains on for about 25 continuous hours weekly. The latest urn works as well,as,the others. My only disappointment, and this 4 stars is that the cord is now permanently attached.
Pros: Attractive Design Cons: Other thoughts: Thank You for fast shipping, and the product was exactly what I orderd. I still havent used the it but im sure it will work great.
Dispenser handle keeps dislocating. Relatively easy to snap back on but it is a horrible design. No stars is not an option so 1 star it is
I bought my first 30 cup West Bend Percolator 10 years ago that had a detachable power cord. It lasted for ten years and I brewed 18 cups three times a week which all total up to 2800 cups per year. So for ten years thats 28,000 cups of perfectly brewed cups of coffee. When this perolator finally wore out. I purchased the new design with a fixed attached power chord. It lasted six month because the power cord wore out and broke at the pont of entering the pot. I bought second one of the same design and it only lasted four months with the same broken power cord problem. Percolators with fixed attached power cords are a bad design flaw and are not worth the mony compared to percolators with detachable power cords, like the one that lasted me ten years.
