I bought this a month ago and so far it has exceeded my expectations! I prepare my dogs’ meals 2 weeks in advance and this is saving me time and storage space.
I upgraded to the newer model, as mine was very old
Love this model. This is my 3rd FoodSaver, so far this is my favorite. I love the custom bag making at the touch of a button, love this feature. I also like the attachment hose always right there
The upright design and overall professional appearance looks very attractive on my kitchen countertop. My last FoodSaver was kept in the box and in a cabinet. Every time I wanted to use it I had to dig it out and set it up. However, with this model, it looks awesome on my countertop and I actually use it more often. I love the feature where the bag is dispensed and sealed and cut for me. It's an awesome tool added to my kitchen.
We simply love this model. It works flawlessly and is a wonderful addition to our kitchen. My wife uses it almost every day and haven’t had any problems at all. ordering from the manufacturer was smooth and saved us a lot of money!
I like the feed option on the bags. I will get a lot of use on it in the month of July I will be needing meats. Turkey, chicken, fish, and an occasionally a steak. I am very happy with my current machine. I will recommend this to friend's.
This machine is fabulous. It makes the bags for me with the cut, vacuum, seal and rewind features, and the handheld vacuum sealer that pulls out is wonderful for the bags that zip. It's so quick and easy to use. It saves your food which saves you money. You can't lose with this machine.
The sealing process takes practice! We are getting more experienced and like the outcome most of the time. The instructions and limited and could be better. We still have not figured out the ins and outs of marinating and using the sealer for containers correctly. We know we will love it as soon as we figure out all the nuances associated with using it!
It's nice and all but I had a older model that lasted me 15 years before I upgraded. It had a moist or dry option on my old one and it always sealed tight. This new one doesn't give me a option and I feel it doesn't vacuum seal as tight as the older less expensive model. I'm not giving up on it and hoping some of it is operator error but I believe it's the machine. There's not much to it and it's pretty simple to use. The other draw back that I've noticed is that it's hard to tell how the size of the bag is going to be. As I use it more I'm sure I'll get a idea as to how much to dispense out. Lots of bag waste in the short time I've had it.
I'm sure this product is typically awesome and sometimes quality control misses things. I'm definitely not upset yet because I just sent an email to the customer service department and I'm ( crossing my fingers) confident this situation will be made right. I paid about 250 bucks for something that doesn't work. What specifically doesn't work: 1. The bags don't seal completely 2. It takes 20 to 30 tries to get the catching mechanism to try and seal the bag 3. The vacuum sealer on small mouth jar lids doesn't work ( meaning every time I take the attachment off the jar lid comes off too, which of course defeats the purpose) I have not tried the marinate accessory. The large mouth jar sealer I'm happy to say works perfectly. And it dispenses bags and creates a perfect seal at the bottom of the bag. I can't imagine that this happens often, but it just doesn't work. I'm definitely interested in replacing this item with something similar because there's no way all of them can view this ineffective. However, it looks very nice on my countertop.
