I needed something small to carry in my note book and that would give the correct spelling on the spot and was reasonable in price. THIS ONE DID IT!!!
It does a great job. For elderly use, it would be a better tool if the Display was a little larger. Larger keys would help a user with arthritic fingers to land squarely on the key. For the price and the utility of it, it is a good value.
This was purchased as a Christmas present for my mother-in-law and she can be a very discriminating consumer. She loved it, said it is easy and fun to use. the print is large enough to be easy on the eyes and it doesn't take a PhD to use it right away.
This was a replacement for my mother-in-law. It arrived in good time and good condition. It's simple enough for her to use and practical enough to meet her needs.
For people that have difficulty spelling & do not have access to spell check on a computer, this is a great device to use. It's quick, user friendly, portable & small enough to keep in a pencil pouch. I use it for tutoring students young & old and they are all very receptive to it.
Easy, fun way to double check spelling when you're not completely sure of a word. Rather than thumbing through the dictionary it gives you a quick list of suggestions after you put in an incorrect spelling. When you put in the correct spelling is just confirms the spelling by flashing the same word. I've also used it for clues to crossword puzzles.
I have not tried this item, as I purchased it for my Grandson, so he would make sure all of his words are spelled correctly, as he can put this in his backpack for school each day. I have confidence in this company that it will work as stated. The only draw back is it is made in China. I would prefer it had been made in the GOOD OLD USA.
My husband writes poetry and short stories. He's notoriously inaccurate with his spelling. This will prove to be a helpful tool for him. Yes, he could use spell checker within Windows Word but he doesn't quite 'get the hang' of using that feature. This spelling corrector is preferred by him. The only reason I rated this as 4 stars instead of 5 is it's a small device. My husband has cataracts and a larger size device would have been more of an advantage to him.
Good product, good price and works, but the only think about this is that it is to small, I lost it and need to buy another :(
cover hard to open, keys to small for average size fingers, too many functions, for example I want a spell checker to do just that, I don't want to play games, predict climate change or so many functions that it is confusing to use original function, plus ypur shipping company fedex lost the shipment some where, I wont use online walmart facilities again ever
