OMG !!!!! …. I have been looking for a salsa like this one forever it seems. My father used to make his salsa very similar to this one and I haven't found anything that's tasty in a long time. Most sauces just have a lot of hot peppers in them and you never actually get to taste the salsa because the peppers override it. Don't get me wrong, I used to love the hot peppers, but now I take necessary medications that give mes dry mouth. When you have dry mouth and you eat something that's hot it's appears to be x 100 times hotter. Once that hot salsa touches your tongue is burns. It's almost Like somebody put gasoline in your mouth and then throws a match in there. I can't tell you how many times that has happened, on MILD no less. However this salsa doesn't affect my mouth and it is absolutely delicious! You really need to give it a try you won't be disappointed .
This is a really good fresh tasting salsa. It's got a lot of flavor and isn't too hot. It has chunks of tomato and spices throughout it.
I'm a very picky salsa eater, but this is the best salsa ever. I hate biting into big pieces of peppers and onions, I love tomatoes though. This has a a great mix of flavor and the mild is still a bit spicy, but not overly spicy. I'm a huge fan of this salsa, but it all the time.
Nothing special. It's pace picante in a small plastic container. The chip outdid the sauce in my bowl.
We regularly purchase this salsa. It has become our favorite salsa. Unfortunately we bought one and tonight we opened it and it smelled very very strong of pure cucumber. The taste was just cucumber. Every now and then you get the smallest hunt of cilantro. But it tasted like eating cucumber with slight spice to it. It was very very weird. I have NEVER had that happen before. Not sure why this one tasted like that.
Be careful and don't purchase this product if you are sensitive to MSG! Both my boyfriend and I had a sleepless night with dehydration and all the terrible symptoms of MSG poisoning after eating this salsa. It's not listed in the ingredients so buyer beware.
If you like cilantro this is for you. We tasted nothing but cilantro and threw it out. I'm glad I didn't make a dish that required it, it was inedible for us.
ate this salsa every morning for last 2 years. last 5 tubs have been garbage. tons of chunks of things I don't like. tastes spicy and salty. used to be great and went through a container every 2 days. wont be buying anymore.
This salsa is sooo salty. Why?! I ordered it twice thinking maybe it was the chips, so I tried lightly salted chips. Still every bit as salty, to the point it was barely edible, and only by adding avodcado and sour cream with zero seasoning. I'd recommend skipping this one.
I used to purchase this salsa in the past, and I really liked it and I was one of the people who raved about it! However, this time it was so incredibly salty that I couldn't use it, maybe the company changed its recipe? I'm sure glad I put it in a side dish rather on my taco. Taste it before you ruin a good meal. I'm tossing it.
