I actually just bought this for my 8 year old daughter to hold her over until I got something else. I figured for $15 even if it ended up being an extra it would be worth it. But we decided to keep it as her permanant comforter. It is so pretty and much softer than I imagined. When it got delivered my neighbor was over and when she saw and felt it she said she was going to go order it. After I made her bed I said it was the best $15 I ever spent. Also the colors aren't as bright as some of the other reviews said. I thought they were just right.
I was so pleased with this product and the unbelievably low price I paid for it. I bought 2 sets for my youngest girls (7 & 9) that share a room. The colors are more vivid than the photo, but very pleasing to the eye. I paired them with lime green sheer panels which I also bought from Walmart. The room is feminine but not childish. Perfect for this age group. The comforter is very soft and cushy. I just tossed them into the dryer to get the wrinkles out & fluff up the filling. The girls love them and snuggle up in them every night!
I bought this comforter because it was pretty and on sale. Now that I have it, I find I would have bought it even if it hadn't been on sale. It is so cozy and comfortable. I bought a new mattress and saw this comforter. I have never slept so well. Comfort underneath me and above me. I look forward to bedtime every night, and not because I's tired, but because I know how comfortable I will be ALL night. Everything seems to have been sewn well. I haven't found any loose threads. I'm completely satisfied with this product.
This was an exciting find. I got very lucky in pulling up Wal-Mart.com one day and finding this comforter for $10.00 on clearance. My 3 year old absolutely loves it on her bed. She couldn't wait to get it in the mail. The picture on the web looks just like the real thing. Very comfy and warm. Color scheme went perfectly with her wall color and curtains. I was going to repaint after getting the comforter to ensure I purchased the right colors, but no need. It was a great investment. I couldn't have beat the price. It has all the colors she loves and she won't grow out of it in 6 months.
I recently purchased this comforter for my daughters room. I wanted something cute but not frilly or princessy. And for the price, this was hard to beat. The colors shown online are a bit muted than real life, but still nice. The blue is a bit brighter (although I wouldn't call it turquoise like one poster did), the green is a bit brighter and the lightest pink is more of a coral and the other pinks are more on the fushia side. The quality of the comforter is what you'd expect with the price, so don't expect anything too soft. I bought my daughter nice, high count sheets so the comforter isn't against her skin and therefore doesn't matter as much. Cute comforter and will last until she is old enough to decide what goes in her room.
You will not find a better one than this for the price you pay. Agreed that you can find quite a few much better than this one however they do come with heavy price tag. I do agree with earlier reviewers that colors on website is more bright and actually it is much lighter, so do not go by the color from website. This one is heavy enough to keep you warm on cold days. I personally felt comfortable using this at around 60F.
The only reason that I bought this comforter was because it was on clearance for $10. It was a great purchase. It is great quality and my 2 year old daughter loves it. Yes the colors are a little bit brighter than pictured but it fit her room perfectly.
I guess I should have read more about this product when I ordered it. Most comforter sets come with sheet sets. This one did not. It was just a comforter and a sham. I knew the price was too good to be true. It is a pretty comforter and sham but I wish it had sheets also.
The color in the photos does not reflect what it looks like in real life. The photo looks like a periwinkle mixed with yellow-greens and purples. The "periwinkle" was in fact turquiose! Very disappointing to invest all that time and effort into trying to find someting to match your paint to have the color be SOOOO off!
I purchased this comforter set. upon receiving the item, it looks nothing like the picture. The pattern is to busy, for a small room. There is to much patten going on. Matching curtains, panels, and throw rugs is very difficult. I will be returning mine to the walmart store in queens.
