Once Upon A Time a grocer would not except bad fruit. If it did arrive fresh they would put it on the shelf. Everyday they would watch their stock for spoiled, rotten, and damage shelf. Nothing in the customers view would be spoiled or out-dated. Those days have been gone a long time. However, why would anyone shopping for another ~ pick up an "obviously" totally moldy or damaged product? If a customer would pass it by, why not the shoppers? Picture shows lemons covered in brown spots and mold. Lovely, just lovely ~ not hard to miss
When they are fresh they are wonderful- unfortunately if you are use pick- up you frequently get old produce or dairy/meat that will expire that day or next :( Try add insult to injury, you must then return it to customer service with limited hours and the systems don't always sink so you are asked to come back, go to alternate location, or the refund doesn't come through.
Very disappointed. I buy organic so I can eat healthy. There was one very old, moldy lemon in the bag. The other four looked ok. But to find something this rotten in the bottom of the bag is disgusting.
This is my first time to leave a review on these but I have the same complaint as many other customers. I'm consistently getting bags of lemons with bad brown spots or molded ones in it (if it is a pick up order) and if I purchase in-store, it's hard to find a bag that doesn't have bad or moldy lemons in it. I don't know how long they keep these in the back room before bringing them to the floor to sell but they should not go to the floor like this! Most of the lemons in my bags usually get thrown away. Quality control is very lacking in this produce dept!
this is the second time the lemons i bought as a pick up order (im wheelchair disabled)are horrible.First time they were rotten... this time 2 are rock hard and others black n soft in places. Please....it isnt easy for one who is disabled to just run them back for a refund or exchange. Please tell order fillers that rotten or old fruit and vegetables are sometimes more of a burden on those you shop for than you realize.
Are the people who stock and pick out items blind? I keep getting Moldy lemons but when I go back in store myself to exchange they have bags that don't have any moldy lemons available. What is going on why do the pick up orders get the worst products?
I bought this two days ago and my fruit my lemons are totally rotten if you are a shopper would you shop for bad fruit! this is bad behavior. They don't care which makes me not trust the store I'll start looking into shopping at Publix and Kroger
Whomever is preparing the order and picking your fruit for delivery is choosing the oldest fruit from the inventory. The last few times I've ordered organic lemons, 50% of the fruit came moldy. Not cool when part of your diet is eating the 100% of the fruit including the fruit skin.
I ordered a bag in my last delivery order and they are rotten! All the bag was bad. I don't think it is a problem with the product, when I go to the store and pick them they are fresh, I think this was more of a problem with the picker and the order fulfillment since they had to check the products before sending them to me.
These $5 organic lemons were spoiled and smelled horrible. Why do the shoppers often choose poor quality produce? I think I may have to start going to the store to choose my own produce. Now I'll have to go the store to return them. Not good.
