i bought this on a whim-- i wanted a light weight yet warm oversized robe....I GOT WHAT I WANTED!!! i bought a 5xl camo pattern robe-- and i love it! soft-light weight but very warm and comfy even though it isn't cold yet i will be happy. it could be a bit longer [ hits near knees but i'm over 6'2''] i love the sufficient material to wrap round to avoid gaps when sitting or bending over. i hate camo patterns as a rule-- but it was better looking than the other --blah!-- patterns. i would probably wear a 3xl normally-- but the 5xl is super-- perfect arm length- shoulder width- full cut chest and waist and long belt-- and fullness. it will probably go on sale- but i am happy at the full price [$21.96--10-2014]- cause it is that nice. ladies-- you have a big guy in your life-- he may love this as a gift! or big ladies may love the comfort too! FOTL got this item right in my opinion. [china made as expected]
Pattern and color very pleasing and fabric very soft and warm feeling. Won't know on fit till after Christmas but am very pleased with the appearance. Very good value for the purchase price plus very painless way of shopping.
This was purchased as a gift. My brother-in-law wanted a dark-colored, warm bathrobe and he knew he was size 3XL. I chose the camo pattern cause he is a hunter. It fit him perfectly and he really liked it. He even put it on during our gift-giving party to show it off so he must have really liked it. It was not very expensive so we'll see how it holds up after repeated wearing and washings.
I bought this robe for my older brother, who is 6"0. I got him a size XL for comfort around the house, and it was a great fit! Since it is for lounging at home, I did not want it to be too tight. The material is warm and great quality.
I'm 5'10 175lbs and ended up getting a Large. I wanted something a bit bigger and longer. It was perfect for me. The material is super soft and it's warm. I don't even need to turn on the heat because the robe keeps me cozy. The pattern is fairly manly so that's why I bought it. Overall, it's a great robe for the value.
Warm and comfortable
I purchased this robe for my husband for Christmas. I am going through a season where I am hot all the time and keep turning down the heater and freezing my poor husband. He loves it! It is soft , light weight and most of all warm.
I ordered a 2X even though I'm just an XL, because usually these things run a little small. This robe will fit the size it says. Great robe for winter, extra warm. However, it may be too warm come summertime. Length was great too. Not too short like some robes.
After reading reviews by others about these big men's robes being small sized, and my desire for a bulky, loose fitting robe, I decided to order the 5X size instead of my normal 3X. The 5X was more than loose fitting enough, I could have gotten by with a 4X, however, I'm extremely happy with the robe and its fit!!! For as lightweight as the robe feels, it's extremely comfortable and very warming!!! I will definitely buy this again, although I would only order ONE size larger than you normally wear.
Except when it's less than robe length. This blue-stripe "Big Man's" size robe by Fruit of the Loom fits me well around the middle and shoulders (usually trouble spots), but is a good deal shorter than the calf-length plaid shown in the accompanying picture. Even though it's polyester it's comfortable enough. It is well made and the tie is ample enough. For twenty dollars I'm satisfied with it, but I do wish it were longer. I might nonetheless recommend it to one of my big "bear" friends on the understanding that it's impossible to find a twenty-dollar robe any where else that works at all.
