This is the last bag I will ever own. It is perfectly weighted so that the bag loaded does not feel heavy no matter how it is carried. My daughter and I saw the bag at the same time and said "THAT ONE!" I am extremely happy with this purchase.
I LOVE Frye purses. I have this bag in 4 different colors with wallets to match! The only problem is the leather above the magnetic closure is separating at the top crease of the purse on two of the purses! I a very disappointed. I faithfully keep the leather lotion on all my Frye bags. Hope it doesn't come apart on the remaining 2 beautiful hobo's. Never had any problems with any of my fry products other than this with my bags!
I have had this bag for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it! It is the perfect size for everything I carry. The option of both straps is great. The crossover strap falls perfectly around the bottom of the bag when I use the shoulder strap. I have a few other designer bags and a couple Frye bags, but this one is my favorite!!!
This is my first bag from them. My favorite purse got stolen so I have been looking for that exact same bag but everytime I went past it in the store I gravitated to it. I love the fact it has a handle and strap so I can use a strap when I don't want to worry about carrying my bag. It's great quality, love the color, love how it's a bit distressed. And it's comfortable to carry. I've always had strap bags but I like the feel of the handle and how it tucks under your arm. First for me. I also bought the wallet too. Love that too. I'd buy it again.
Colour Ice. This bag arrived today, and it is just gorgeous. The colour is a soft taupey grey, and for me , this is just perfect for Summer and Winter. I find it very hard to get a bag that is great for all season, but Ice really is perfect. This is the style I love, one short handle ( which actually slips over the shoulder so the bag can be tucked up under the arm) and an adjustable long shoulder/cross body handle. The bag sits well on the shoulder either way, and the strap stays up, unlike bags with 2 handles (for me anyway) . I like the magnetic closing, I dislike zips when I am out and about shopping. Just the right number of internal pockets - 2 cellphone/drop pockets, and 1 zip pocket. The lining is a nice colour, not too dark or light. Should not show the dirt too badly. Key holder in this bag. FYI, I immediately used a protective spray on it, and it did not darken the leather at all. So thrilled with this purchase!
I bought this bag 2 weeks ago and I love it! I purchased the Red Clay which is actually like a rust/brick color. Great quality and holds everything I need without looking bulky. I have not found a need for the longer shoulder strap so I am not using it. The strap on the bag fits comfortably on my shoulder even with a coat on. The bag has a zipper compartment and 2 other inside pockets that holds my phone easily. I recommend this bag!
I received this beautiful bag as a gift after having spent numerous times looking at it online. It's leather work is amazing and so soft. Love the cross body feature and the small Frye logo stamp in the corner. It's my favorite bag and I get compliments all the time :)
I have a dark brown Melissa hobo and absolutely love it. I've had it for about 6 years. I ordered this one for summer since it is lighter. The purse is made completely different. The shoulder straps and cross body are thinner and the leather is different. Overall it seems a lot cheaper made than my other. I have 5 other Frye bags and they are great. This one… not so much. Not sure I'll be ordering another one after this and that makes me sad.
I love Frye products but I think I got a bad apple on this one. The stiching is off on the top and it makes it difficult to close and it just looks cheap. I am very disappointed in this purchase. You will notice in the pictures one side is flat but the other side puffs up and doesn't line up with the magnet to close.
The fit is not consistent. 1. Melissa Chelsea in 9 redwood - The neck of the boot is extremely narrow, takes a lot of effort to get them on - a very tight fit returned for a 10 2. Melissa Chelsea in 10 Redwood - foot slipped into the boot - zero support for the elastic on the sides, too lose and too big.. also ordered Melissa Chelsea in black 3. Melissa Chelsea in 10 black - The neck of the boot was even tighter than the 9?! They are a beautiful boot. Could order a pair in 9 1/2 but I've lost confidence in finding a pair that fits.
