It's bigger than I thought it would be! I was worried it would be too small, it's perfect! The outside slip pocket is ideal for my phone. Inside it can easily hold small wallet, sunglasses, hand sanitizer, lip gloss, compact, keys and probably a couple of more small items. I ordered the beige and it's beautiful, a good neutral color. I love my Frye bags and boots, you always know you're always going to get top quality no matter the product. Thank you, Frye!
I've had this bag for a few months and it's perfect. I can fit everything i need- small makeup bag, keys, phone, glasses (with case) and still have room. The strap is comfortable and has gotten softer the more i carry this bag.
I usually use small crossbody bags but lately I find they are just to small. I was worried this bag would be to big compared to my other bags but I find it's just the right size. I love the squishy soft leather. It's holds a large phone, wallet, tissue and normal everyday stuff. I'm 5'1 and the strap length is fine on the shortest setting.
I got this bag in Beige and it is the perfect shade of tan/camel, I think it's good year round color. I love the highs and lows of the Melissa leather used, and the burnishing is beautiful! This leather can't be beat, it's easy to keep/maintain. This leather is awesome from the beginning and gets better with age and use. In it I have: a small wallet, sunnies in a soft, draw string case, a surgical mask, and a medium sized catch all that houses a lipstick, chapstick, hand cream, a small tube of tylenol, a compact, nail clippers/small file, ear buds a small dental floss and a travel perfume. I still have room to spare if I need to add an extra item or two. Also, I like that the strap on this bag is not super narrow, so it's really comfortable when wearing it. I bought this purse this fall, however it is the darker brown color. It's a beautiful, rich brown and looks great with fall colored clothes and shoes, as well as navy blue. It's a perfect size for me, as well. Plenty of room for wallet, cell phone, sunglasses, etc. It gets scratch marks that come and go, but they add to the charm! Great purse!
I like the bag very much. The quality is very good, but my nails scratches the leather when go into the side pocket. I also wish there was a zipper on the side pocket.
Color was not as expected. I was looking for a bag to match the Veronica boot in caramel. The Melissa bag in cognac was the closet to it but not a great match. Considering returning.
The PERFECT every day bag. I purchased this bag after buying the suede bag thinking the Melissa was more practical day to day. I've received so many compliments on the size and quality of the leather! I will definitely look to Frye again for more products. Thank-you Frye, aq
Ordered "Slate", received purse wrapped in package with label that denotes "Slate" but the purse was color "Ice". The interior liner is exactly what is inside "Ice", nothing like what is inside "Slate". Just irritated that I have to hassle with a return/exchange.
I would love this purse because of the feel, the size and the color, but unfortunately, I'm not pleased with the purse at all. If its supposed to have a worn look, it far exceeds worn. It has so many scratchs on it and it looks as though someone used it for 10 years and was sold to me. I will try and get a replacement and if that works out, I will gladly, re-write my review.
