nice product
Easy install and worked as it should.
Our RV was wired for this unit. We recently installed it prior to a long distance trip. It worked great! Very helpful for viewing traffic in multiple lanes behind you on the interstate, switching lanes, etc. Also serves as a backup camera which comes in handy.
My camper is pre-wired for this camera, so it took me a bit of time to see that I had to take the one that was on it off and replace it with the new one with the camera. It took me less than 20 mins to figure it out. Once I did, it took just a few minutes to install. I didn't realize the camper needed to be plugged into the truck to work, but once I got that down it is quite nice. It works just as described.
Bought a new Keystone fifth wheel travel trailer equiped with prewie for this unit. Dealership wanted to much $ ($200)to instal. Bought this unit and installed myself in 10 minutes. Came already paired and ready to go. Works great. Using it for backing in driveway and campsite made life much easier. Note: even if your rig doesn't come prepped all you need to do is buy the mounting kit and wire into your trailers running lights for power. Camera mounts with 4 srews to mount after you plug in power. A great addition.
Works Great took only 10-12 minutes to install (with pre-wired hookup)
Installation was about as simple as it can get (as long as I ignore the added time for troubleshooting and repair of what turned out to be a goof up by the RV trailer manufacturer -- the polarity for the power supply to the pre-installed camera mount on the trailer was reversed, causing the camera to not function at all). Once the time for that goof up is disregarded, from box opening to having an operational system installed and ready to go was less the 15 minutes. On a Ford Expedition pulling an 18-foot RV trailer the signal strength is excellent for both backing up and for on-the-road observation, giving a satisfactory image at all times. So far the only negative comment I have is regarding the apparent flimsiness of the mounting tray for the monitor. For the price paid I think a more substantial and sturdy mounting tray would be in order.
I ordered this system to install on my pre-wired Grand Design Reflection 5th Wheel RV. I received it VERY quickly, the packaging was undamaged, and I was able to get it installed in about 10 minutes. The RV manufacturer works with Furrion and had preinstalled the wiring and mounting seal on the trailer. All I needed to do was remove 4 screws, remove the fake camera cover, plug in the power lead, reinstall the 4 screws, and it was done. The most difficult part of the installation was "tucking" the power connecter into the cavity on the back of the camera assembly, it is a very tight fit. The camera unit and the 4.3" display were "paired" from the factory, so all I needed to do was turn on the power and the unit was ready to use.
No picture if you get one lasts for few seconds and we have a small GEO pro 15 ft trailer
Wrong item, supposed to be a backup camera!
