Ladies, if you are struggling with supply issues, please try this. My lactation consultant told me to take fenugreek and blessed thistle. I went to my local natural health store and this product was all I could find. It was $22 for a 60 count. I thought it was super pricey as you’re suppose to take 3 a day. I noticed a milk increase within a day. Once the bottle was gone, I ordered separate fenugreek and blessed thistle pills to save money. My supply dropped when I took those. I took 3 OF EACH 3 times a day. That’s 18 pills a day! Taking that many cost me way more than these Gaia pills.I immediately ordered the 120 count of these Gaia pills. I take 3 a day and my supply has already increased. I went from pumping 2 oz at a time to 4-5oz. I know this probably won’t work for everyone, but it never hurts to try!
Love this stuff! I was trying just fenugreek alone, 2 capsules two to three times a day, and it wasn't giving me the same results as just one of these two or three times a day. Definitely helped my milk production and I would recommend it to anyone else who is struggling with theirs. They are easy to take since you only need one each time and sometimes I only ever really need to take one a day to keep up a decent amount. If you are trying to nurse AND pump for storage, then you could definitely take the maximum amount and get great results. It's been working very well for me and I plan on continuing to use them as long as I'm nursing.
Love love love this supplement. I struggled going back to work and with the stress I started to lose my milk supply. I tried everything from eating more oatmeal, drinking more water, power pumping and so on. I really didn't see a remarkable difference until I started to use this supplement. I start the day by taking 2 and then 1 after lunch and 1 at night. Made a huge difference for me. I am a exclusive pumper and before I started this I would produce about 20-23 oz a day and now I am producing 33-35 oz with no more pumping than before. Would highly recommend a try. I know everyone is different though and it may not work for others as well as it did for me.
These help SO much with my lactation. If I don't have them, I notice a significant decrease. Once I begin taking them again, there's a gradual increase over a couple of days while they set in my system & then it's back to normal. Don't miss a day if you have trouble producing milk - these work but you must be consistent.
I can't say enough about this product. Breastfeeding was a battle beginning to end with us. It didn't come easy, I never produced enough, my daughter didn't seem to really like it, it hurt like h*ll for far to long. But I was determined to make it to 6 months. So around the 2 month mark, I started taking this product and eating oatmeal everyday. It increased my production levels considerably, and got me through the back to work pumping process with flying colors. Toward the end as my supply dwindled further and further, I know that this product was a significant factor in getting me to my goal.
i usuallt buy these supplements elsewhere but they were out of stock. i was skeptical at first when purchasinf because it was walmart. the item came in the labeled packaging. it is a true gaia herb product. i checked the expo etc. the supplements are the same as normal brown capsule maple syrup smell. its a true product at a great price! works well!
I wasn't under the impression that this product was working until I stopped taking it. I'm now 4 months post-partum and I started taking this after returning to work full time (baby is still exclusively consuming breast milk). During a 20 minute pumping session, I'm able to get 5-8 ounces, without this product (I just ran out), I'm only able to get 4-5. So, not a huge increase, but enough to affect having to dig into the freezer stash.I love that the product is organic and consists of only 5 natural ingredients. I have noticed that when I perspire, I slightly smell like maple syrup, but after researching the ingredients, that is to be expected. I recommend this to any mom who wants to boost her supply.
I have been using Gaia for about 3 months now on and off. It definitely increases my milk supply a bit when I take it correctly. You have to take it between meals and remember to take 3 a day. I tried another kind and it did not work for me, so I definitely would recommend this product. I wish it did more for my supply, but it definitely helps when my supply dips down every month.
Since my daughter was born, my supply has always been low... I would bf her for 20 min each side and then she will still take a bottle for 2-3oz... her average feeding is between 5-6oz every 3 hours. I started pumping once I got back to work, and I would get from 1 to 2 oz in TOTAL (.5 in one side and 1-1.5 on the other side). I took fenugreek, mothers milk tea, and did nothing... before giving up I tried this GAIA pills and Im happy to say my milk increased, I now pump between 2.5 to 3 oz... I didnt see the BIGGEST increase as many people say, but an extra oz for me every pumping session is great!
I've been using these for a couple of weeks and have seen a slight increase in my milk supply (maybe 20ml per pumping session), but I'm not sure if it's enough to justify the extra cost of using these. As far as the maple syrup smell that everyone reports, yep, it's definitely present in me and baby, but I actually kind of like it, it's the holidays and I smell like sugar :)
