This is called gardener wire. But, it can be used for many different things. You can use it to loosely tie tomatoes and beans to stakes in your garden. You can also use it for many other purposes. It's always handy to have some wire around, in case you need it for something. You can use it to tie things together. And, as seen in my second photo, it can be used to hang things from.
this review is for THE EXPERT GARDENER GALVANIZED GARDEN WIRE, 16 GUAGE. this roll of wire is 200' feet long(60.9) meters, is tightly wound into a compact size roll. the number 16 guage denotes the actual thick- ness of the wire itself. galvanized wire is made up of a strong durable metal that holds up well in all weather. though the package is labeled GARDEN WIRE, it has multi-uses in and out of the home. the most common use of this galvanized wire is to string it from one metal fence post to the next forming a boundary around gardens or other outdoor projects. ive used this wire to make a trellis for my tomato plants by wrapping one end around a 5 foot wooden stake, and twist the end to secure it. then continue wrapping each stake in succession until you get to the opposite end and encircle the wooden stake with the galvanized wire, make a twist with the wire and then remove the leftover wire using a wire snip. but recently i used this galvanized garden wire inside our home to create a clothes line for our laundry when our dryer stopped working. we placed a hook on opposite sides of the room and then wrapped each end of the wire around the hooks. this EXPERT GARDENER GALVANIZED GARDEN WIRE 16 GUAGE is a dependable wire to use around the home, automobiles, crafts and more.
Regular wire ties are a thin wire covered in paper, and when used out doors always rust away and can't be trusted to hold things together. But this galvanized wire probably won't rust for a generation or two if it does at all. It can also bent so you can hang things from it, in you garage, shed, work room, etc. Its also better than a plastic wire tie because you can move it from place to place as needed. Plastic wire ties are a "use once", throw it away deal.
I use this to reinforce into put up my fence to keep critters out of my garden it did the job and they're not going to eat through it and also as many other usesink of I would no t hesitate to buy it again
The Expert Gardener Roll of 200ft Galvanized Tie Wire is very sturdy. I love the fact it is galvanized which means no rusting. I used it to fill in a gap under my fence, to keep critters out of my yard, it works perfect for that and other uses. I spread it across 7 sections of fence and still had some left on the roll. I would highly recommend it for all your gardening needs and also for decorations or crafts.
This galvanized wire is really handy to have around the house. Since it is galvanized, it will not rust if exposed to the outdoor elements. Therefore, using this product on outdoor jobs or gardening projects is superb. This is great to secure fencing or securing objects in your garage or shed etc. This 16 gauge wire is pretty strong and can be bent to hold some hand held tools along the wall. The possibilities for the use of the wire are endless. I got the wire to secure my fence and found myself using it for so many other things. Like I said this is awesome to have on hand because you never know when this can come in handy.
This Expert Gardener Roll of wire is a very generous supply and it is very durable and strong wire. It can be used for so many different things and here I have used it to temporarily hold my little garden fence together and I made some Wire Picture Hooks with it. Just 2 examples of it's many uses. All you need is a pair of wire cutters. I will be using it all around the house and yard and love the convenience of the roll as it stays rolled up until you pull it out. Made to last. Highly Recommend!
The last 200' roll of wire I bought has lasted about 15 years, but now I'm getting to the end of the roll and it's time to replace it. I've always referred to it as baling wire but I noticed it's also called tie wire. The Expert Gardener is galvanized which is much appreciated. It means the wire is coated with zinc making it more rust resistant and longer lasting. Years ago my dog kept digging her way through my field fencing. The fencing was so old her head would punch holes through it. So I simply cut a new square of fencing and attached it in place with tie wires. It cuts easily with wire cutters. Although it remains in place for years, since it isn't galvanized, the tie wires rust and become brittle. I love the look of my new Expert Gardener tie wire. The galvanization makes it shiny and durable. There are innumerable uses for this wire. It's practical, stout and flexible. I nailed some from a rafter in my shed and hung my wet gloves and socks on it to dry- a makeshift clothesline. It's a staple for every household, especially if you're rural.
Just got this the other day and already used some to hold up items in the yard and tie together a few pieces of chain link fencing. Stronger than I thought it would be but easily worked with a small pliers to assist.
The wire is very useful around the house and in the garden. I use it to support my garden plants and as part of my electric fence to keep the deer out of the flower beds and garden. I use it as a strong twist tie to secure my suet feeder so the larger animals can not steal the food. I also use it on may boat to secure cables. I found that rope will rot over time and this wire does not.
