got 2 of these to give me 10' more extension ,, you never know when it may comes in handy ,, helps too that you don't have to stand closer to roof as you pull the snow down
Roof rake extension worked great. Able to keep the snow off my entire roof. A must have for our New England winters!
Bought this item as a replacement part for our 15 yo Garelick roof rake. After a horrid, snowy winter in Mass. this year, one extension of our rake broke off. Garelick makes a quality product. Delivery date was estimated to be about 1-2 weeks from time of order; however, the extension arrived at our house in 2 days!
Fits just like the originals that came with the rake. Walmart had lowest price.
It has plenty of reach and strength. Rollers may be a bit too large, but will wear down in time.
i could get more than halfway up my rood with the lengths that come with the rake itself - this would give me more reach - but perhaps more importantly - in case any of the pole pieces were ever damaged - i already have a replacement - so worth getting up front - cause when you're going to need it - it's not going to be instantly available.
don't encourage people to buy an extension I don't think you can add one and be able to get it on the roof it's to heavy
I purchased this handle as a replacement handle for my Melnor Roof Rake. The picture appeared to be the same as the handle from the Melnor. Not quite. The male end of the handle was not reduced enough to fit into the female end of the handle. I ended up filing down the one end so the handles could be connected. Should be O.K. but more work than anticipated. It is difficult to rate this item. It is just a handle. Maybe it is time for a new roof rake.
