I had bought this gadget since i have to run to clients houses and get lost half of the time in such a big city like chicago. So far so good .. Cant complaint. easy to install and navigate. i would totally recommend this product to anyone that has to travel around a city or even a suburb to get where u need to go without wasting gas,, since gas prices are extremely crucial right now to be running around and getting lost is not cool.. so go ahead buy one u wont regret it.. peace..
great gps for the price, limited custom options,no changing screen color, wish it had poi icons on screen like tom tom one, also no free map updates like tom tom one,plus side smaller and battery life alot better 5 hours and being able to put car icons as direction pointers a plus.
I got this for my husband for his birthday and we have used several times. And my mother in law had to borrow it to go to the hospital in nashville and it helped her alot. And now she has purchased one. My mother has also purchased one after going to the zoo and us using it.
We had already purchased the Garmin Streel Pilot and my wife wanted a smaller version for her car. We bought the Nuvi on-line and were very happy with it. It's smaller (which is what we wanted). We only had one problem, which the manufacturer quickly resolved for us. We can even put this one in our pockets, if we need to.
Great product. Great price. Very accurate. Bought the nuvi 200 because I was tired of printing directions from the computer. Used it in San Antonio TX and did not get lost once. It has great features. Will help you find restaurants, gas stations, places to shop.(ect). Highly recommend the nuvi 200.
This thing exceeded all my expectations. For people on a tight budget, but travel a lot I highly suggest this thing. I would've never been able to find my way around Memphis without this thing. Sometimes when turning it on, it does take a few minutes for it get a good signal from the satellites. The voice can be a little annoying at times, but you can always turn it off. Overall this gps was well worth the small price tag.
I am amazed at how far technology has come. We recently used our Garmin for a small get away. We thought it was taking us on some out of the way route but discovered that it choose the best one to take. All the information it has is not 100% accurate but our world changes too much for anyone to keep up with. (We tried to go to a restaurant that didn't exist anymore.) It has been a great little product and I would recommenend it to anyone.
GOOD GPS FOR THE MONEY , FIRST 1 I HAVE OWNED. IT DOESNT ALWAYS TAKE THE MOST REASONABLE ROUTE , WHEN YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR AT. I DONT THINK IT HAS UPDATED MAPS. OVERALL A PRETTY GOOD GPS, IF I WERE GOING TO GET ADIFFERENT ONE I WOULD GET THE NUVI350. THIS WILL GET YOU WHERE YOUR GOING THOUGH!!
We really enjoyed this GPS on our trip. The only problem was when a road that it was guiding you on was closed. It didn't take us to an alternate route. We got lost in downtown Spokane, Wa. This product probably would have guided us around the detour, but we didn't take the time to read that part.
Compared with using a map, the GPS systems including Garmin Nuvi 200 are fantastic. However, I found it to be very unreliable at times. It would often have me get off of highways only to drive into the city, make a U-turn, and then get back on the highway. This happened on several occassions causing unecessary delays and frustration. Other times, it would instruct me to turn when on bridges or going on overpasses without access to the intersecting street. The Garmin 200 is nearly useless in some cities like San Francisco - cities where you need the unit the most. The number of mistakes and odd unecessary detours was unacceptable. I sure would not want my wife and family to be led to some bad neighborhood by one of the mistakes.
